The Inner Mongolia Pharmaceutical Trade Fair—also known as the Inner Mongolia Medical Device Exhibition (collectively referred to as the Inner Mongolia Pharma Fair)—is a renowned national trade fair for pharmaceuticals and health products. Established in 1999, it is widely regarded as a barometer of the national pharmaceutical and health product industries, the first permanent city-based pharmaceutical exhibition in China, and has held the title of the country’s largest fixed-city exhibition for ten consecutive years. As one of the longest-running and largest industry-brand events in China’s pharmaceutical sector, it encompasses every stage of the value chain—from R&D and manufacturing to distribution and services—making it an ideal platform for gauging industry trends and identifying emerging developments.

It is well known that the Inner Mongolia Pharma Fair excels in terms of historical significance, scale, exhibitor quality, and overall influence. Today, the fair has expanded its reach nationwide, organizing pharmaceutical trade events in provinces such as Shanxi, Shenyang, Hefei, Zhengzhou, Qingdao, Hangzhou, and other major cities. This broader initiative is collectively referred to as the Weilian Pharma Fair, which is also one of the large-scale exhibition projects receiving key support from China’s Ministry of Commerce.

With the government’s increasing support for the traditional Chinese medicine industry, ethnic medicines have achieved remarkable progress since the turn of the century. In particular, Tibetan medicine, rooted in the high-altitude plateau, has experienced leapfrog development, becoming a favorite at each edition of the fair and consistently drawing attention from media outlets and distributors alike.

In response to the growing prominence of pharmacy retailers’ voice within the industry value chain, the Inner Mongolia Pharma Fair has extended invitations to member organizations and arranged visits for chain pharmacy members to attend and procure goods on-site. Additionally, a dedicated negotiation zone has been set up at the venue, enabling decision-makers from major pharmacy chains to engage in face-to-face business discussions with exhibiting companies.

Mainland China visitors must complete online pre-registration with real-name ID verification; overseas visitors must use passport verification; Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan visitors must use their travel permit.
