The Exhibition Value of Intertraffic China
- Intertraffic China, the Shanghai International Exhibition on Traffic Engineering, Intelligent Transportation Technologies and Facilities, is co‑organized by the Research Institute of Transport Ministry of China and RAI Exhibitions Group of the Netherlands. Since its debut in China in 2007, the event has been successfully held for eighteen editions. Drawing on the Dutch parent show’s more than fifty years of brand heritage, it has grown into the largest, most influential, and most professional integrated trade platform in the Pan‑Pacific region, covering traffic infrastructure, road safety, intelligent transportation, and parking facilities. The exhibition is widely recognized within the industry as a leading indicator of Asia‑Pacific transport sector development and a pivotal gateway for companies seeking to expand into global markets.
- A One‑Stop Showcase Covering the Entire Industry Chain. The exhibition seamlessly integrates resources across the entire value chain—ranging from equipment manufacturers, material suppliers, system integrators, and construction firms to operation and maintenance service providers, research institutes, and end‑users—breaking down information silos and inter‑sectoral barriers. For 2026, the event features eight core thematic zones: Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Innovation, International Pavilion, Intelligent Parking Technologies and Equipment, Overload Control Technologies and Systems, Traffic Infrastructure and Road Safety, Highway Maintenance and Inspection, Smart Traffic Lighting, and Digital Zone—covering key areas such as intelligent transportation, road safety, traffic management, infrastructure development, and parking solutions. From large AI models and vehicle‑road coordination to digital twins, smart streetlights, intelligent parking systems, and energy‑transport integration, exhibitors can engage in comprehensive interactions—from technology demonstrations and brand exposure to business negotiations.
- Precise Connection with Global Key Buyers and Industry Chain Resources. In 2025, the exhibition will span over 85 countries and regions, welcoming more than 20,000 professional visitors, including international buyers accounting for over 15%. Delegations and procurement groups from entities such as the Roads and Transport Authority of the United Arab Emirates, the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Turkey, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan—among more than twenty others—will attend to conduct business engagements. Meanwhile, dozens of industry-leading organizations, professional associations, and research platforms—including the China Intelligent Transportation Association, the Shanghai Pudong Smart Lighting Federation, and the Beijing Key Laboratory for Intelligent Urban Traffic Control—have established long-term partnerships with the event, creating seamless links among policy, technology, industry, and market resources. Exhibitors thus gain direct access to some of the world’s most powerful purchasing audiences, enabling efficient business matchmaking and market expansion.
- Unique Value for Chinese Enterprises—Connecting to Global Markets and Driving Digital Transformation.Intertraffic China serves as a pivotal platform connecting Chinese enterprises with overseas markets and facilitating the entry of international companies into the Chinese market. At the 2025 edition, numerous substantive collaborations and implementation cases were secured on-site, with over 70 companies renewing their exhibition spaces for 2026. Concurrent events—including specialized matchmaking sessions, closed-door technical workshops, overseas buyer delegations, and project promotion forums—provide comprehensive support, spanning technology launches and brand outreach to order fulfillment and cross-border partnerships. Participation in this show represents a strategic pathway for Chinese transportation firms to rapidly establish international distributor networks and gain insights into global market access standards.
- A Vanguard for Technological Innovation and Industry TrendsAt the exhibition, large-scale AI models have been successfully deployed in areas such as dynamic traffic signal control, road network traffic forecasting, and automated incident detection. Meanwhile, technologies like multi‑level parking systems, shared parking solutions, and contactless payment are effectively addressing urban parking challenges. The 2026 event will center on the theme “Digital Intelligence Empowers Collaborative Development,” highlighting cutting-edge innovations in autonomous driving, vehicle‑infrastructure coordination, smart street lighting, and green energy. A dedicated Smart Lighting Zone will showcase adaptive dimming systems, intelligent light poles, Zhaga‑compliant light engines, and other groundbreaking products. Additionally, the Highway Maintenance Zone will present comprehensive solutions covering the entire lifecycle—from construction and management to maintenance and operations—featuring advanced materials, specialized machinery, and state-of-the-art road inspection equipment.
- The Strategic Advantage of Shanghai–Beijing Biennial RotationThe exhibition alternates between the Shanghai New International Expo Center and the Beijing China International Exhibition Center, with the 2026 edition scheduled to take place in Shanghai. Situated at the heart of the Yangtze River Delta, Shanghai is one of China’s most advanced regions for transportation engineering and intelligent mobility, boasting an exceptionally rich array of application scenarios. Leveraging its strategic position as an international trade hub and a global center of technological innovation, Intertraffic China offers exhibitors a premier platform to connect with both domestic and international markets.
