Profile
The SIAL Paris food exhibition (SIAL Paris), founded in 1964, is the world’s largest trade show dedicated to food innovation and the premier event for the global food industry. Held annually in alternating years with Germany’s Anuga, it stands as Europe’s—and indeed the world’s—leading platform for the food sector. With no geographical restrictions, it sets the tone for global food trends and ranks among the most highly regarded food exhibitions worldwide.
SIAL Paris brings together leading companies from across the food value chain, attracting primarily professional buyers closely connected to the industry. The high-quality products on display and their extensive variety make the fair an essential meeting point for procurement professionals and decision-makers worldwide.
During the exhibition, the consortium will organize a series of business-matching events, inviting international buyers, distributors, retailers, and other industry stakeholders to engage directly with Chinese exhibitors, fostering trade partnerships and supporting Chinese enterprises in expanding their global footprint. As China’s agricultural products continue to accelerate their journey toward global markets, cultural exchanges and economic ties between China, France, and the wider world are deepening steadily. This participation represents a meaningful step forward in strengthening Sino-French friendship and advancing the integration of the global agricultural economy.
Experts predict that European demand for Chinese food products will continue to grow significantly. In response to this robust market opportunity, Chinese companies are increasingly proactive in exploring new avenues, expanding beyond niche markets catering exclusively to the Chinese diaspora into mainstream European consumer segments. Many French businesses likewise seek collaboration with China’s distinguished partners to develop strategies better aligned with the evolving dynamics of the Chinese market.
Over the years, SIAL Paris has consistently showcased numerous high-caliber exhibitors! With more than 8,000 global food producers and over 295,000 professional buyers participating, it remains the largest B2B food trade show worldwide. Seize this unique opportunity to tap into the EU’s trillion-dollar food and beverage market—this is a chance not to be missed!
