China (Shanghai) International Adhesive Tape and Film Exhibition

The 28th China International Adhesives and Sealants Exhibition (ASE CHINA) and the 20th China International Adhesive Tape and Film Exhibition (TF-EXPO CHINA) were successfully held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from September 17 to 19, 2025. Co-hosted by the Chemical Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China Adhesives and Adhesive Tape Industry Association, this edition of the exhibition is a premier annual event in the adhesives and sealants sector.

In terms of scale, the exhibition covered a total area of 35,000 square meters across Halls W1–W3, bringing together 700 exhibiting companies from 20 countries and regions worldwide. Visitors came from 62 countries and regions, with attendance reaching an all-time high. Compared with the previous edition, both the exhibition space and the number of exhibitors grew steadily, underscoring the event’s strong industry influence and market dynamism.

This year’s show featured numerous highlights, with leading brands drawing significant attention. Internationally, global names such as 3M, Henkel, Bostik, KCC Silicones, Elkem, Sicad, and Atlas showcased their latest adhesive technologies. Domestically, industry leaders including Chengdu Sibao, Hangzhou Zhijiang, Kangda New Materials, Huaitian New Materials, Jinghua, Yongguan, Youyi, and Wanhua presented cutting-edge innovations in adhesives, sealants, adhesive tapes, and functional films.

The internationalization of the event continued to deepen, with overseas visitor numbers hitting a new record. Professional buyers from dozens of countries—including the United States, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Italy, France, India, Thailand, and Vietnam—attended to source products, marking a 24% increase in both the number of international visitors and the diversity of participating nations compared to the previous edition. By expanding targeted overseas buyer networks, the exhibition helped exhibitors effectively broaden their international market reach.

Specialized zones and concurrent events added further appeal. The exhibition featured themed areas such as the New Energy Vehicle and Power Battery Adhesive Technology Zone, the Electronic Adhesives and Thermal Management Materials Zone, and the Smart Packaging and Labeling Zone, highlighting cutting-edge applications across various sectors. Concurrent high-level forums included the “Emerging Industries Adhesive Technology Development Summit,” the “Electronic Adhesives, Thermal Management Materials, and New Energy Vehicle Adhesive Technology Development Summit,” the “New Quality Productivity Empowerment Forum,” and the “New Three-Item Application Adhesive Technology Forum,” which explored pressing issues related to new energy, 5G, AI, and green, low-carbon initiatives through in-depth discussions.

Exhibits comprehensively covered the entire value chain of adhesive tapes and films. Adhesive tape offerings ranged from general-purpose tapes and protective films to double-sided tapes, OCA optical adhesives, release liners, and self-adhesive labels. Functional film categories included optical films, protective films, release films, lithium-ion battery films, photovoltaic films, and high-barrier films. Supporting equipment encompassed coating machines, slitting machines, rewinding machines, die-cutting machines, and testing instruments.

The professional audience was diverse, with clear purchasing objectives. Attendees primarily came from automotive, electronics, optoelectronics, telecommunications, home appliances, medical devices, new energy, labeling, flexible packaging, and printing industries—key procurement sectors. Over 60% of exhibitors offered solutions for new energy vehicles and power batteries, while more than 80% provided electronic technology solutions, precisely aligning with the robust downstream demand.

The exhibition yielded impressive results and received enthusiastic industry acclaim. Exhibiting companies widely reported that this edition set new benchmarks for scale and professionalism, attracting high-quality international professionals and fostering sustained engagement. Attendees emphasized that TF-EXPO and ASE CHINA are not only premier platforms for brand exposure and business matchmaking but also critical hubs for identifying industry trends and exploring digital transformation pathways. From adhesives for new energy vehicles and electronic adhesives to thermal management materials and green, low-carbon technologies, the exhibition vividly showcased the innovative vitality and global influence of the adhesives and sealants sector.
