World Gas Conference (WGC) Beijing

Since 1931, the World Gas Conference (WGC), hosted by the International Gas Union (IGU), has been the largest and most significant global event in the natural gas industry. Its purpose is to advance the natural gas sector and share knowledge, technologies, and information. Held triennially, it gathers thousands of industry and political leaders, gas executives, experts, and exhibitors in the host destination.

This marks the first time the World Gas Conference is held in China.The Beijing World Gas Conference (WGC) will feature over 80 dialogue and exchange activities, including opening and closing ceremonies, high-level dialogues, plenary sessions, and parallel forums. It will invite over 400 high-level speakers from China and abroad, with international speakers accounting for up to 70%. Attendees will include international dignitaries, CEOs of global oil & gas companies, leaders of international organizations, heads of international financial institutions, and think tank experts. The forums are expected to attract over 3,000 delegates from more than 70 countries.

The conference will include an exhibition spanning approximately 50,000 square meters, attracting over 200 domestic and international enterprises from sectors such as high-end manufacturing, engineering design, and strategic consulting. It is expected to draw over 30,000 professional visitors. Aligning with contemporary frontiers, the conference will focus on the strategic role of gas in achieving the "Dual Carbon" goals. Under the theme "Empowering a Sustainable Future," discussions will cover six key directions: global energy landscape, energy transition, regional gas development, energy & finance, global LNG outlook, and digitalization & technological innovation.

The Beijing World Gas Conference (WGC) covers the entire upstream, midstream, and downstream gas industry chain, representing over 90% of the global natural gas market. As one of the three flagship events of the IGU, the World Gas Conference has been held 28 times consecutively since 1931.

World Gas Conference (WGC) Beijing tickets are e-tickets. Mainland China visitors must complete online pre-registration with real-name ID verification; overseas visitors must use passport verification; Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan visitors must use their travel permit.
