The Indiana Convention Center is a major convention center located in downtown Indianapolis, United States. Originally named the Indiana Convention-Congress Center, it first opened in 1972. The first major expansion of the Indiana Convention Center was completed in 1984, along with the construction of the Hoosier Dome (later renamed Lucas Oil Stadium). The RCA Dome, which was related to it, had a total cost of approximately $94.7 million. The original structure was completed in 1972 and has undergone several expansions. It features 71 meeting rooms, 11 exhibition halls, and 3 multi-purpose ballrooms. The facility connected to Lucas Oil Stadium provides an additional 183,000 square feet (17,000 square meters) of exhibition space and 12 meeting rooms.
