Royal Exhibition Building
Royal Exhibition Building
The Royal Exhibition Building in Australia is the only one listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List, while the rest are natural cultural heritage. The exhibition area is 12,000 square meters. The Royal Exhibition Building and the surrounding Carlton Gardens were specially designed for the grand international exhibition held in Melbourne from 1880 to 1888. The entire exhibition hall and garden are made of a combination of materials such as wood, brick, steel, and slate, with a style that blends Byzantine elements and even various elements from the Italian Renaissance period. Its glory lies in the fact that up to 1915, more than fifty international large-scale exhibitions from places like Paris, New York, Vienna, Jamaica, Chile, etc., were held here.
