Dubai International Marine Club
Dubai International Marine Club
Established in 1988 by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the Emirates Dubai International Marine Club aims to preserve traditional water sports and enhance Dubai's status locally and internationally. The club is located in a popular area of Dubai Marina, near the Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort. With an exhibition area of 15,000 square meters, it features over 300 berths, a helipad, a sailing school, a competition department, offices, and facilities. The club hosts over 50 major events annually, including the Dubai International Boat Show.
The Emirates Dubai International Marine Club also hosts the largest traditional 60-foot monohull sailing race every year, which has successfully been held for 23 editions. In 2010, the club hosted the Louis Vuitton Cup, a preliminary event for the America's Cup, where six world-class teams competed.
New aquatic equipment has been introduced to cater to the club's need for water sports, allowing for more business-related activities such as water conferences and water concerts. Located adjacent to the Gulf, facing Palm Jumeirah, the Dubai International Yacht Club benefits from its convenient location for hosting various events.
