Taiyuan Xiaohé International Convention and Exhibition Center
In Taiyuan, Shanxi, the BIM technology application for steel structures at the Xiahe International Convention and Exhibition Center in Xiaodian District was awarded the only Specialized Application First Prize in Shanxi at the Third Engineering Construction Industry BIM Competition.
The Xiahe International Convention and Exhibition Center boasts a total floor area of nearly 100,000 square meters, with an indoor and outdoor net exhibition space exceeding 120,000 square meters. It comprises seven exhibition halls, two multi‑purpose halls, two arc‑shaped halls each spanning 10,000 square meters, as well as outdoor exhibition areas, offering exceptionally large exhibition spaces, superior load‑bearing capacity, and lofty display heights, thereby fully meeting the diverse needs of various types of trade shows and exhibitions.
Upon completion, the project will effectively address the shortage of large‑scale convention and exhibition facilities in Shanxi. Guided by the “Convention +” model, it will explore synergies across sectors such as “Convention + Commerce,” “Convention + Tourism,” and “Convention + Culture,” fostering the seamless integration of conventions with commerce, tourism, and culture, expanding the convention and exhibition industry chain, attracting investment, and maximizing its role in driving the robust development of regional logistics, wholesale trade, e‑commerce, accommodation, catering, and other related industries.
