Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center
The Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center is a key project for both the Hainan Provincial Government and the Haikou Municipal Government in 2009. It is a multifunctional complex integrating conference, exhibition, hotel, leisure, commercial, and residential facilities. Upon completion, it will serve as an important platform and carrier for the development of modern service industries in Haikou. As a supporting facility for the泛珠三角区域(9+2)Cooperation and Development Forum and Trade Talks held in Hainan, the投入使用后will end the history of small-scale exhibitions and slow development in Hainan. It will become a high-end service platform for international official and business activities in Hainan, and also a unique "city card" for Haikou.
Invested and constructed by Shenzhen Tienli Real Estate Group, the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center was designed by Mr. Li Xinggang, the designer of the Bird's Nest for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, from the China Academy of Building Design. With a total construction area of 136,200 square meters and a total investment of RMB 1.38 billion, it consists of an exhibition center and a conference center.
The exhibition center of the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center has a floor area of 77,000 square meters, with three exhibition halls and an indoor opening ceremony hall of 4,800 square meters that can accommodate 6,000 people. Inside, there are 2,320 standard booths, and the exhibition center can host various types of exhibitions, demonstrations, performances, etc. The exhibition venue equipment meets international exhibition standards. The outdoor venue covers an area of 25,000 square meters, suitable for gatherings of tens of thousands of people, large-scale performances, and outdoor exhibitions of large equipment. The exhibition center has a separate customs supervision warehouse, exhibition equipment warehouse, high-end restaurants, and a 1,000-person fast-food service point.
The conference center of the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center is a three-story building arranged in a row from east to west. With a floor area of 42,000 square meters, it includes a theater-style conference hall that can accommodate 1,800 people on the west side, with four floors and three levels of seats; the first floor of the middle section is a multi-functional hall that can accommodate 2,000 people, suitable for conferences, banquets, performances, fashion shows, and small thematic exhibitions; the third floor has an international conference hall that can accommodate 800 people; on the second and third floors of the east side, there are 22 meeting rooms and VIP rooms of various specifications.
