China International Consumer Goods Expo – Hainan Consumer Goods Fair – CICGFProfile
The China International Consumer Goods Expo (EXPO HAINAN, abbreviated as CICGF) was launched following the official global release on June 1, 2020, of the Overall Plan for the Construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port, demonstrating China’s firm resolve to further open up and share development opportunities with the world. The CICGF brings together global resources in the consumer sector, creating a premier platform for showcasing and trading consumer goods and injecting new momentum into global consumption growth.
The main venue of the CICGF is the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, with duty‑free shopping experience zones set up at the Haikou International Duty‑Free Shopping Complex and the Sanya International Duty‑Free Shopping Complex, and a yacht exhibition held in Sanya. The United Kingdom will serve as the Guest Country of Honor for the fifth edition of the CICGF. For the first time, a Host Province has been designated—the Municipality of Beijing.
In line with central government directives to boost consumption, the CICGF will continue to adhere to its “premium” positioning,汇聚 domestic and international high‑quality consumer goods and connect global buyers and sellers, establishing itself as a world‑class platform for showcasing premium consumer products, streamlining distribution channels, bolstering consumer confidence, and facilitating both domestic and international dual circulation—creating opportunities for global companies to tap into the Chinese market and for Chinese enterprises to expand globally.
The United Kingdom will be the Guest Country of Honor at the fifth CICGF. In addition to longstanding partners such as the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions, who are once again actively organizing top‑tier consumer brands and products for participation, we will also welcome official pavilions from Slovakia and Brazil, as well as a corporate delegation from Singapore, all seeking to leverage the CICGF platform to enter and strengthen their presence in the Chinese market.
Leading companies and brands—including Estée Lauder Companies (USA), Reckitt Benckiser Group (UK), Volkswagen Group (Germany), Charoen Pokphand Group and ThaiBev Group (Thailand)—have confirmed independent participation. The Chinese luxury beauty group USHOPAL will bring nearly ten global ultra‑luxury brands, including the French century‑old skincare brand PAYOT, the high‑end French fragrance house Juliette Has A Gun, and the British luxury skincare label ARgENTUM.
Thirty provincial administrative units across China, along with the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and the separately listed cities of Ningbo and Shenzhen, will present their respective top exhibitors and signature products. For the first time, the CICGF has designated a Host Province—Beijing—and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce will soon provide details. Well‑known names such as Moutai, Huaxi Bio, and Li Ziqi’s intangible cultural heritage apparel have also confirmed their participation. This edition will feature the “High‑Quality Export Products Tour in China” initiative, showcasing selected premium export items and organizing investment matchmaking events for foreign trade enterprises.
This year’s CICGF places particular emphasis on emerging consumption trends, including consumer technology, artificial intelligence, low‑altitude aviation, fashion and lifestyle, health and wellness, and intelligent connected vehicles. Huawei, iFLYTEK, ShuoYin Technology, Ubot Technology, and Tesla (USA), among other industry leaders, will be in attendance.
Centered on consumption themes and tailored to the needs of key guests, this year’s CICGF will curate a series of signature events, including new product launches, fashion shows, jewelry showcases, and makeup presentations, while also organizing a range of supporting activities focused on hotspots such as fashion consumption, digital consumption, health‑oriented consumption, the low‑altitude economy, and an island‑wide test drive event for new energy vehicles.
As the first national‑level exhibition held this year, the CICGF will attract numerous senior executives and professional buyers from leading global companies abroad, who will lead delegations to attend and participate in face‑to‑face brand promotions and supply‑demand matching, further highlighting the expo’s role as a global public service platform for “buying worldwide and selling worldwide.” We cordially invite friends from all sectors of society to join us in Hainan for this grand event and to work together for shared development!
