33 Outstanding Domestic and International Galleries Make Their Debut
ART021 serves as a vital bridge connecting Shanghai with the global art scene, continuously attracting diverse emerging forces: galleries such as Galerie Gmurzynska, Lisson Gallery, NANZUKA, REFLEXION, ROH Projects, and PETITREE make their debut.
85 Leading Galleries Feature Prominently in the Main Galleries Section
In the "Main Galleries" section, leading domestic and international galleries and established forces will present a curated selection of works spanning decades and mediums. The program focuses on today's most influential artists while also highlighting accomplished mid-career and promising emerging talents.
International heavyweights such as Almine Rech, SANTA Gallery, Perrotin, Ota Fine Arts, and David Zwirner make their return. The debut of Lisson Gallery will feature a lineup of its core artists.
Local galleries also demonstrate exceptional strength in the Main Galleries section. Key galleries including A Thousand Plateaus Art Space, Antenna Space, BANK, Beijing Commune, HdM Gallery, Hive Center for Contemporary Art, Triumph Gallery, Galerie Urs Meile, Tang Contemporary Art, and ShanghART will present high-caliber exhibition projects.
APPROACH Section: Active Debut of Next-Generation Galleries
The gallery map of the "APPROACH" section continues to expand, with increasingly diverse geographical distribution and gallery types. 20 next-generation galleries from multiple countries will make a collective appearance, with several debuting at a mainland Chinese art fair for the first time, opening up a broad stage for young artists.
Three Dynamic Sections Foster Diverse Dialogues and Global Perspectives
The "DETOUR" section focuses on three key regional galleries, presenting exhibition projects rich in critical thinking and cultural strategy, establishing cross-border dialogues and connections.
The "Special Projects" section will welcome projects from auction houses, non-profit art institutions, and artist studios, jointly creating a multi-layered aesthetic experience. YGO from Indonesia joins hands with eight galleries to convey Southeast Asian artistic voices, injecting diverse perspectives into the fair.
The "BEYOND" section integrates captivating large-scale sculptures and site-specific installations, showcasing masterpieces by contemporary art giants alongside carefully crafted works by young artists, creating an immersive space for contemplation on-site.
