展会简介
The Exhibition Value of the Shanghai International Sheet Metal Exhibition (MetalFab China)
- The China (Shanghai) International Sheet Metal Processing Exhibition (MetalFab China), organized by the China Forging & Pressing Association, is one of the core sub‑exhibitions of the China International Metal Forming Exhibition. It is held concurrently with six other thematic exhibitions—such as the Forging Show, Stamping Show, and Components Expo—at the same venue. Since its inception in 2007, the event has established itself among the world’s four major sheet metal processing technology exhibitions, alongside Europe’s EuroBLECH, America’s FABTECH, and Italy’s LAMIERA. Against the backdrop of China’s manufacturing sector transitioning toward high-end, intelligent, and green production, the exhibition is widely recognized within the industry as a leading indicator of the development of China’s sheet metal processing sector and a pivotal platform for companies seeking to expand both domestic and international markets.
- A One‑Stop Showcase Covering the Entire Industry ChainThe exhibition encompasses the full spectrum of the industry, including sheet metal fabrication equipment and technologies—such as forming machines for thin sheets, medium‑thick plates, tubes, and profiles, as well as laser cutting, stamping, bending, and shearing systems—alongside molds and tooling, joining and welding solutions (including laser welding, spot welding, arc welding, riveting, and rivetless joining equipment), raw and auxiliary materials, functional components and electronic parts, data‑processing and intelligent systems, factory automation equipment, and warehousing solutions. From standalone machines to fully automated production lines, and from conventional processing to “dark factories,” exhibitors can engage in comprehensive interactions—from technology demonstrations and brand exposure to business negotiations—within a single venue.
- Precise Connection with Global Key Buyers and Industry Chain ResourcesLeveraging the China Forging & Pressing Association’s deep industry expertise, the exhibition boasts nearly 3,000 member enterprises, reaching over 100,000 forming companies and component users. The 2026 edition is expected to attract more than 600 exhibitors and draw over 200,000 professional visitors. These attendees represent diverse sectors—including aerospace, automotive manufacturing, rail transit, electrical engineering, home appliances and kitchenware, enclosures and cabinets, and elevator manufacturing—where sheet metal plays a critical role. Exhibitors thus gain direct access to some of the world’s most influential purchasing decision‑makers.
- Unique Value for Chinese Enterprises: Showcasing Indigenous Technologies and Driving High‑End Market PenetrationChina’s sheet metal processing industry is currently undergoing a critical transition from mid‑to low‑end manufacturing toward high‑end, intelligent, and environmentally friendly production. In response, the exhibition has introduced specialized zones such as “Automation & Intelligence” and “Laser & Precision Processing.” At MWCS 2025, Murata Machinery showcased a flexible automated sheet metal processing line and a fully servo‑driven press brake, enabling dark‑factory‑level automation. Concurrently, more than 60 events—including the China Sheet Metal and Fabrication Conference, new‑technology equipment launch ceremonies, and procurement matchmaking sessions—provide exhibitors with strategic opportunities to gain insights into industry trends and connect with downstream customers.
- A Cutting-Edge Hub for Technological Innovation and Industry TrendsAt the exhibition, flexible automation lines, laser processing, all‑electric servo bending, and smart factory solutions emerged as key highlights. Murata Machinery’s flexible automated production line enables straightforward automation of sheet‑metal loading and unloading, occupies a compact footprint, and offers flexible material flow. It can seamlessly integrate downstream processes such as riveting, welding, and AGV systems according to customer requirements, effectively reducing initial capital investment. Its all‑electric servo press brake employs AC servo motors and ball‑screw drives, delivering high‑speed motion at 100 mm/s and stable repeat positioning accuracy, thereby significantly boosting production efficiency. Exhibitors can leverage these innovations to gain insights into the industry’s ongoing shift toward “intelligence, automation, and flexibility.”
- Shanghai’s Geographical and Industrial AdvantagesHeld at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), the event is strategically located in the heart of the Yangtze River Delta—one of China’s most industrially advanced regions with robust demand for sheet‑metal fabrication. As an international trade hub and a global manufacturing powerhouse, Shanghai, supported by the Delta’s comprehensive sheet‑metal processing supply chain, provides MetalFab China with a strategic platform for exhibitors to connect with domestic and global markets.
