The Exhibition Value of the Shanghai Foundry Expo
- China Foundry Festival is one of the largest and most influential comprehensive events in the global foundry industry. Organized by the China Foundry Association, it has been successfully held for more than twenty editions since its inception in 1987, earning recognition as a leading indicator of China’s foundry sector development and a central platform for international exchange of foundry technologies. The event brings together three flagship exhibitions—the China International Foundry Expo, the China International Die Casting Industry Exhibition, and the International Nonferrous and Special Foundry Exhibition—creating a carrier‑class trade show that spans the entire foundry value chain.
- The core value of participation lies in its unparalleled industry authority and its role as a platform that covers the entire supply chain. Hosted by the China Foundry Association, a national-level industry association, this is the only foundry exhibition organized by such an entity, endowing it with unique authority, representativeness, forward‑looking vision, and guiding influence. The 23rd Foundry Expo in 2025 will be held in Tianjin, featuring nearly 80,000 square meters of exhibition space and bringing together over 1,000 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions. The 24th edition in 2026 is expected to expand to 120,000 square meters, attracting over a thousand companies and drawing hundreds of thousands of professional visitors.
- The expo establishes a one‑stop commercial platform covering the entire foundry value chain. Exhibits encompass castings, casting equipment, raw and auxiliary materials, quality‑inspection devices, molds, automation systems and ancillary equipment, environmental protection solutions, and specialized casting robots, while also extending into downstream sectors such as machine tools, automotive components, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, rail transit, and hardware products. At the 2025 edition, themed zones will highlight high‑end casting equipment, premium raw and auxiliary materials, premium castings, and die‑casting and nonferrous casting, showcasing numerous “star products,” including Xiaomi Auto, which will make its debut at a foundry industry exhibition.
- The expo aligns with three major industry trends—new‑type productive forces, high‑quality development, and green casting—establishing a cutting‑edge hub for deep integration among industry, academia, research, and application. Concurrent with the expo, the China Foundry Association hosts its annual conference, forums on advanced casting equipment, specialized lectures on cutting-edge casting technologies, new‑product launch events, corporate information briefings and signing ceremonies, cultural activities related to casting, expert Q&A sessions, and over a hundred other engaging industry events. The 8th China Foundry Festival in 2024 focused on the theme of “new‑type productive forces and accelerating high‑quality development in the foundry sector,” shaping a new landscape for the growth of the foundry value chain.
- For Chinese enterprises, this expo serves as a strategic gateway to expanding global markets, connecting with international resources, and showcasing technological prowess. The event draws professional visitors and buyers from around the world; in 2025, exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions will participate. Zhongyi Ming Technology of Tianjin presented a high‑rigidity, versatile cutting and polishing robot at the show, with company executives noting that the Foundry Expo’s highly professional environment enables precise alignment with target customers. Wencan Group exhibited precision aluminum alloy castings for automotive applications, aiming to highlight its casting capabilities and strengthen collaboration with industry partners. Through this platform, participating companies can access global procurement networks and seize early opportunities in the intelligent, green, and international transformation of the foundry industry.
