The Exhibition Value of the Shanghai International Low-Altitude Economy Expo
- The world’s first specialized expo covering the entire low-altitude economy value chain. Co-hosted by the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), Donghao Lansheng Group, and Shanghai International Exhibition Group, this event is the only international professional gathering in China dedicated to the full low-altitude economy value chain. The inaugural edition spanned 60,000 square meters, bringing together nearly 300 leading global companies and welcoming over 55,200 visitors, earning recognition as a key indicator of global low-altitude industry development. As a showcase for strategic emerging industries, the expo serves as a strategic gateway for companies to establish their market position, connect with global resources, and seize opportunities in the trillion-dollar blue‑ocean market.
- Full‑chain integration of “three chains,” with comprehensive coverage across five major sectors. Exhibits span low‑altitude infrastructure (general aviation airports, air traffic management systems), low‑altitude manufacturing (aircraft R&D and production, advanced materials, core components), low‑altitude transportation (eVTOLs, helicopters, logistics drones), low‑altitude urban and rural management (emergency rescue, police patrols, environmental protection), and low‑altitude commercial applications (agricultural and forestry pest control, surveying and mapping, cultural and tourism consumption). From hardware manufacturing to software services, from technological R&D to real‑world applications, the expo fully showcases the innovative outcomes resulting from the deep integration of the low‑altitude economy’s industrial, application, and ecological chains.
- Bringing together world‑class enterprises to build a hub of industrial innovation. The expo features Shanghai’s “Four Little Dragons” of eVTOL manufacturers—WoFei ChangKong, WoLante, FengFei Aviation, and ShiDe Technology—alongside leading drone companies such as United Aircraft, Tengdun SciTech, DJI, and Puzhou Technology. State‑owned enterprises including Sinopec, China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom present cutting‑edge solutions in advanced materials and information technology, while new‑energy propulsion firms like Zongshen Aeroengine and Hydrogen Aviation compete on the same stage. International giants such as Britain’s Vertical Aerospace, Brazil’s Eve Air Mobility, and Italy’s Leonardo Aviation also participate, creating a high‑end platform for cross‑border technology exchange and industrial collaboration.
- A premier venue for global product launches, setting the pace for technological breakthroughs. During the expo, more than 19 products made their global debut and 25 others debuted domestically, including the world’s first seven‑seat, three‑ton class multipurpose eVTOL, the world’s first mass‑produced large hydrogen‑powered drone, flying car platforms, large fixed‑wing unmanned aircraft, aircraft range extenders, and electric drive systems. Innovative offerings such as Weixin Aerospace’s three‑ton medical rescue eVTOL, the AE200 “Smart Agile Cabin” co‑developed by WoFei ChangKong and FuWei Group, and Tianling Ke’s L600 hybrid range‑extended tiltrotor eVTOL were prominently showcased, providing companies with an authoritative stage to demonstrate their cutting‑edge capabilities and secure technological leadership.
- Over 30 high‑level forums delivering authoritative insights and fostering deep industry–academia–research–application collaboration. Concurrent with the expo, more than 30 high‑profile events were held, including the International Forum on Future Air Mobility, the Conference on Low‑Altitude Economic Infrastructure Development, and the Shanghai Low‑Altitude Economy Industry Innovation Conference. The Civil Airport Association of China released its “Research Report on the Framework of the Low‑Altitude Economy Infrastructure System,” while the Royal Aeronautical Society of the UK convened international experts to discuss opportunities for industry growth. Specialized forums on finance, law, and talent addressed critical pain points in industry–finance linkages, offering participating companies a high‑end think tank to navigate policy directions, access global resources, and gain insights into industry trends.
- Precise matchmaking with global buyers, establishing an efficient business‑matching platform. On the very first day of the expo, WoLante Aviation signed a US$1.75 billion eVTOL procurement agreement with Thailand’s Pan-Pacific Group, setting a new record for the largest single international order of domestically produced passenger eVTOLs. YuFeng Future entered into strategic partnerships with low‑altitude economy enterprises in Shanghai and Guangdong, while ShiDe Technology deepened industrial collaboration with Shanghai’s low‑altitude economy development company. With overseas visitors hailing from 25 countries and regions, the expo facilitated precise connections between Chinese low‑altitude enterprises and global market resources through diverse dialogue platforms, further enhancing their visibility and expanding cooperation opportunities within domestic and international supply chains.
- A multi‑dimensional fusion of “industry + application + consumption,” creating an immersive value ecosystem. Concurrent with the expo, activities included the National Aerospace Model Championship and the national drone football team selection trials, the Hongqiao Tiandi Low‑Altitude Themed Bazaar, and drone formation performances. Hundreds of demonstration flights highlighted the versatile applications of eVTOLs and drones across logistics, rescue, agriculture, energy, and other fields. From B‑to‑B technology showcases to C‑to‑C consumer experiences, from professional competitions to public science education, the expo provided participating companies with a comprehensive platform for deep engagement with professional audiences, purchasing decision‑makers, and end consumers.
