The Shanghai Licensing Fair (CIPE) was founded in 2013 and is China's first creative industry fair named after "IP licensing". It has cultivated a vast customer base of over 300,000 in the Chinese IP licensing industry.

The theme of the Shanghai Licensing Fair (CIPE) is "Defining Trends, Igniting Consumption". It will collaborate with various industry associations across the country, including home furnishings, 3C digital products, clothing, toys, food, etc., to assist IP holders in their full-industry-chain layout.

The IP licensing industry is advancing at an extraordinary pace into various consumer goods industries. According to incomplete statistics, the IP licensing industry accounts for approximately 40% of the global entertainment and tourism real estate sectors. The brand licensing share in various industries is around 25%, and the sports industry's licensing share is about 11%. In the fashion, toy, and fashion accessories sectors, which are still the top three industries with the highest shares, respectively accounting for 14%, 12%, and 10%, the video, tourism real estate, and other industries have seen rapid growth, with year-on-year increases ranging from moderate to as high as 200%.

The Shanghai Licensing Fair (CIPE) aims to create a win-win IP industrial ecosystem chain, promoting transactions and cooperation between outstanding IP copyright holders, licensees, operating institutions, and other parties both domestically and internationally. The organizing committee will invite well-known global copyright holders, licensees, and high-quality upstream and downstream supply chains to provide a one-stop service platform for the IP industry that integrates display, transaction, and cooperation.
