The Exhibition Value of the IOE International Edible Oil Expo (China Oil Expo)

  • One of China’s largest, most prestigious, and most authoritative industry events in the edible oil sector: Since its inception in 2010, the China International Edible Oil Industry Expo (commonly known as the China Oil Expo) has been successfully held for fifteen consecutive editions. It is an internationally recognized event approved by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China. As the most authoritative and largest-scale edible oil industry expo in China and globally, it is co-organized with IGPE China Grain & Oil Expo and widely regarded within the industry as a leading indicator of trends in China’s edible oil sector and a core platform for companies seeking to expand their market reach.
  • A one-stop showcase covering the entire value chain: The expo features two major exhibition zones—products and equipment—encompassing branded edible oils, high‑nutrient premium varieties, specialized health‑oriented oils, functional oils, nutritional seasoning oils, industrial-grade edible oils, downstream oil‑related products, cutting‑edge grain and oil machinery, packaging solutions, ancillary production equipment, and emerging processes and technologies. From top-tier edible oil brands to state-of-the-art grain and oil processing machinery, and from traditional manufacturing techniques to intelligent packaging solutions, exhibitors can seamlessly connect across the full spectrum—from product display and brand exposure to commercial negotiations.
  • Precise matchmaking with national key buyers and distribution channels: With a planned exhibition space of 23,000 square meters and targeted participation from over 500 exhibitors—double last year’s scale—the event will be co‑hosted by nearly 20 provincial grain industry associations, grain and oil societies, and national trade associations. Renowned enterprises such as Yihai Kerry, COFCO Group, Jiusan Grain & Oil, Jingliang Holdings, and Ausca Grain & Oil—totaling 100 leading companies nationwide—will participate as co‑organizers, while provincial delegations from Jiangsu, Anhui, Hunan, Liaoning, and other regions will highlight local specialties. Professional visitors include distributors, agents, group‑buying purchasers, e‑commerce platforms, and food processing enterprises, representing the full spectrum of procurement stakeholders.
  • A strategic engine for Chinese companies: brand promotion and channel expansion: The expo is committed to establishing an integrated, highly efficient exhibition‑and‑trade service platform that combines “exhibition (both offline and online), sales (through agents and group buying), and publicity (via CCTV and cloud‑based media)” into a cohesive ecosystem. Concurrently, the Hualiangzan Group Buying Platform will host a product selection event, during which the platform’s operations center will convene large‑scale signing ceremonies with exhibitors, featuring a curated lineup that includes 100% of the exhibited grain and oil products. Additionally, the CCTV Brand Support Promotion Forum will provide authoritative media endorsement, helping participating brands elevate their visibility and reputation.
  • A vanguard for technological innovation and industry trends: At the expo, smart packaging systems, automated filling lines, online inspection technologies, and advanced oil‑refining techniques are among the standout highlights. Concurrently, six major events will take place, including the Ninth Marketing and Development Conference for the Grain and Food Industries, the China International Modern Grain and Oil Machinery Equipment Cooperation Exchange Forum, the Hualiangzan Platform User Meetup and Large‑Scale Flavor Tasting Session, the CCTV Brand Support Promotion Forum and Fine Wine Tasting Event, as well as the award‑review and presentation ceremonies for both the China Grain & Oil Expo and the China Oil Expo, providing exhibitors with comprehensive services spanning product showcasing, brand promotion, channel networking, and industry dialogue.

Review

The 15th International Edible Oil Industry Expo (IEOE) 2025 was successfully held from April 11 to 13 at the Nanjing International Exhibition Center. With the theme “Developing New‑Type Productive Forces to Drive High‑Quality, Rapid Growth of the Grain and Oil Industry,” the event was independently organized by Yonghong International Exhibition Co., Ltd., a well‑known enterprise in China’s exhibition sector.

Exhibition Space and Exhibitor Scale Remain Strong. This edition featured a planned exhibition area of 24,000 square meters and attracted more than 450 exhibitors, including no fewer than 150 rice‑processing companies and 100 oil‑processing firms. The grain and oil machinery and equipment pavilion covered over 10,000 square meters. The show drew participation from a hundred industry leaders, such as COFCO Group, Wilmar International, Jiusan Group, Luhua Group, Xi Wang Group, and Samsung Group, alongside foreign‑invested enterprises from Russia, Italy, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, and other countries. The organizing committee also extended special invitations to major grain distributors from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Heilongjiang, Liaoning, and Jilin provinces.

Diverse Highlights and Award‑Winning Products on Display. At the expo, Hubei Modern Agriculture Group showcased its “Chu Huaxiang” brand product line. Its flagship rice oil and camellia oil stood out among numerous exhibits thanks to their distinctive flavors and high nutritional value, earning the “Gold Award for Premium Healthy Edible Oil Products.” Rich in gamma‑oryzanol, phytosterols, and other bioactive compounds, the rice oil, along with the camellia oil—high in monounsaturated fatty acids—fully demonstrated the health‑promoting attributes of Hubei’s signature oils. Additionally, innovative offerings such as Suizhou fragrant rice and camellia‑based skincare products highlighted the company’s cutting‑edge achievements in the refined processing of grains and oils.

A Rich Array of Concurrent Events. During the exhibition, a series of events were held, including the 8th International Conference on the Development of Distribution and Agency Networks in the Grain and Food Industries, the 2nd International Symposium on Modern Grain and Oil Machinery Technologies and Cooperation, and the IGPE‑IEOE Organizing Committee’s Official Marketing Recommendation Platform’s Procurement and Ordering Fair. All forums and conferences brought together leaders from government, business, academia, and research institutions, creating favorable conditions for the successful conclusion of this year’s expo. During his visit, expert Wang Ruiyuan of the China Association for Science and Technology noted that enterprises, through a development model integrating “base + technology + brand,” have achieved breakthroughs in the quality of specialty grain and oil products, setting a new benchmark for the healthy edible oil industry.

Strong Response from Exhibitors and the Industry. This year’s expo fully demonstrated the unique operational approaches characteristic of the new era of exhibitions, breaking away from traditional exhibition models to establish a comprehensive marketing service platform for the grain and oil industry. Most exhibitors exceeded their initial expectations, with lively business negotiations unfolding on site. Attendees agreed that, after fifteen years of evolution, the China Edible Oil Expo has become a widely supported industry gathering, universally recognized as the premier event in the global oil and fat sector.

Digital Transformation and Innovative Services. This edition integrated cooperation with authoritative media outlets, facilitated Sino‑foreign partnerships, and seamlessly incorporated digital, networked, and intelligent technologies into both the exhibition and related conference activities, jointly propelling the grain and oil industry toward an even broader “digital future.” Through the Trade Division’s rigorous selection of premium grain and oil products, the establishment of an official recommendation and marketing agency platform, and the leveraging of its vast base of high‑quality consumers, the event maximized market penetration both online and offline.
