The Mobile World Congress Barcelona (MWC Barcelona) is the most authoritative exhibition in the global telecommunications industry. It is hosted by the GSMA, one of the three major international organizations in the world's mobile communications industry. As one of the most influential exhibitions in the global mobile communications industry, MWC Barcelona attracted over 2,400 companies from more than 200 countries and regions, with over 300 Chinese companies showcasing their latest products and cutting-edge technologies.

The theme of MWC Barcelona is "Future First", focusing on topics beyond 5G, AI humanization, intelligent manufacturing, disruptive rules, digital genes, etc.; 5G-A, generative AI, 6G, etc., have become the focus of discussion at the conference. Chinese companies that have recently invested heavily in frontier technology have become new highlights.

Huawei was the largest exhibitor at this event. Huawei showcased its full series and full-scenario 5.5G product solutions, including 5G-A, F5G-A, Net5.5G, and released ten industry digitalized solutions and a series of flagship products. They also demonstrated ten systematic innovations for AI, covering computing power, storage, databases, and solutions, among others. Huawei also held two roundtable meetings and five summits, discussing topics such as the development direction of the new stage of 5G and the industrial development of 5G-A with global technology companies, and will release the first large model in the communication industry.

Spain has a relatively developed telecommunications industry, with mobile phone coverage reaching approximately 98%, with almost no blind spots. Spanish mobile phones use GSM, WCDMA technology, and the main operators include: Telefonica, Orange, and Vodafone. Users of China Unicom and Telefonica can send text messages to each other.
