Hong Kong is making every effort to consolidate its status as an international fintech hub. Mr. Christopher Hui, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of the HKSAR Government, cited data showing that approximately 75% of Hong Kong's financial institutions have already adopted or are piloting generative AI. "We expect this proportion to exceed 87% within the next three to five years," Mr. Hui stated. "AI applications will deliver more efficient and convenient services, significantly enhancing user experience."

Currently, AI is rapidly being deployed in core business scenarios such as wealth management, security and risk control, and intelligent marketing, continuously driving operational efficiency. As a globally leading financial center, Hong Kong has also been actively promoting the innovative integration of frontier technologies like AI with the financial sector in recent years.

Mr. Eddie Yue, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), stated that "Fintech 2030" aims to develop Hong Kong into a robust, resilient, and forward-looking international fintech hub. The initiative seeks to reshape the future of finance, open a new chapter, and jointly foster a more sustainable and inclusive fintech ecosystem.

In terms of concrete business expansion, Tencent Cloud has made substantial progress. Mr. Hu Liming revealed: "For instance, in Southeast Asia, financial institutions such as Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Bank Indonesia, and Allo Bank have adopted our cloud products, including the TDSQL database, cloud infrastructure, and eKYC solutions." Tencent Cloud currently maintains a double-digit annual growth rate in overseas markets, achieving significant client breakthroughs in Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, and Europe.
