Xinjiang International Petroleum & Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition

The 2026 Xinjiang International Petroleum and Chemical Technology & Equipment Exhibition concluded successfully, with a 40,000-square-meter exhibition space fostering global energy cooperation.

From July 16 to 18, the 2026 Xinjiang International Petroleum and Chemical Technology & Equipment Exhibition (CIPPE Xinjiang) came to a successful close at the Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center. Over three days, leveraging Xinjiang’s strategic position as a core hub of China’s national energy production base, the event brought together high-quality resources from across the global industry chain, delivering a strong performance in industrial development: the total exhibition area reached 40,000 square meters, attracting nearly 500 domestic and international companies specializing in oil and gas, petrochemicals, new energy, and related supporting industries. Nearly 10,000 advanced energy technology equipment items were showcased, comprehensively highlighting the sector’s cutting-edge capabilities.

This edition of the exhibition set new records for both the breadth and depth of its industry coverage, featuring exhibits spanning key segments of the entire value chain, including oil and gas exploration and development, drilling and production equipment, oil and gas storage and transportation, smart oilfields, green chemistry, energy storage, and integrated energy services. Major state-owned oil and gas enterprises such as PetroChina Western Drilling, Sinopec Jingwei, and CNOOC Energy Development were all present; leading equipment manufacturers—including XCMG Group, Anton Oilfield Services, Shanghai Shenkai, Shandong Kory, and CSSC Central South Equipment—made prominent appearances, showcasing their latest independently developed technologies and core achievements. In alignment with the national “Dual Carbon” strategy and the Fifth Five-Year Plan for green energy transformation, the exhibition concurrently hosted the 2026 Xinjiang International Hydrogen Energy Technology & Equipment Exhibition, aiming to advance the energy sector’s efforts to build a diversified, synergistic, clean, and efficient modern energy supply system.

The scale of international procurement at this year’s event reached a new high, with a diverse contingent of overseas professional visitors. Representatives from Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Colombia’s Mining and Energy Planning Agency, Namibia’s National Oil Company, and other energy institutions attended to explore sourcing opportunities. Domestically, purchasing teams from PetroChina Xinjiang Oilfield Company, Sinopec Northwest Oilfield Company, Guanghui Energy, and other enterprises gathered on-site. Concurrently, at the Central Asia–Middle East–Africa Oil and Gas & Petrochemical Industry Forum and International Procurement Matchmaking Event, representatives from multiple countries and domestic exhibitors reached numerous preliminary cooperation agreements, effectively expanding channels for Chinese-made energy equipment to enter international markets.

During the exhibition, the Fourth China Deep-Well and Ultra-Deep-Well Oil and Gas Development Forum and the China (Xinjiang) Petrochemical and New Energy Coupling Development Forum were also held, bringing together dozens of technical experts to engage in in-depth discussions on topics such as tackling challenges associated with wells exceeding 10,000 meters in depth, intelligent drilling and completion technologies, ultra-deep fracturing, coal chemical optimization, and solid waste resource utilization. The organizing committee further arranged site visits for exhibiting companies to the Western Drilling Engineering Research Institute, promoting deeper and more practical exchanges of technology and industry linkages.

This year’s exhibition was simultaneously linked with the 16th China Xinjiang International Mining and Equipment Expo, the 21st China Xinjiang International Coal Industry Expo, and the 2026 Xinjiang International Chemical Technology & Equipment Expo, breaking down resource barriers across oil, coal, mining, chemical, and new energy sectors. This integration facilitated mutual access to procurement resources and shared visitor traffic, providing attendees with a one-stop platform offering comprehensive services across all industry categories.

The CIPPE series of petroleum exhibitions has consistently aligned itself with the overarching national energy development agenda. The 2026 Chengdu International Petroleum and Chemical Technology & Equipment Exhibition will be held from September 21 to 23 at the Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center in Chengdu, covering an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters. It is expected to attract 400 participating companies and approximately 20,000 professional visitors, focusing on sectors such as petroleum and petrochemicals, natural gas, pipeline storage and transportation, and hydrogen energy, thereby further strengthening China’s connectivity with the global energy industry.
