This year’s expo highlighted the latest scientific breakthroughs and practical applications in China’s advanced materials sector. The Materials Institute of China North Industries Group Corporation brought over 50 products, including 52 types of bulletproof ceramics and explosion‑suppression materials, 53 items in the personal protective equipment line, thermoplastic prepregs, and 234 factory‑produced sealants and specialty adhesives. Stainless‑steel composite panels, recognized as a “key technology for military‑to‑civilian conversion,” appeared in the core exhibition area for the second consecutive time. TaiSteel Group’s TE4003C5® stainless‑steel rolled composite material has already been successfully deployed in open‑top freight cars operated by China Railway, undergoing 230,000 kilometers of real‑world testing; during the event, a 300‑million‑yuan contract was signed for the supply of aerospace components.
A Rich Calendar of Concurrent Events. Throughout the exhibition, a dual‑use new materials conference and more than ten high‑profile sub‑forums were held, including sessions on aerospace materials and advanced surface treatment and modification technologies. Several academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering attended and delivered keynote addresses, drawing over 1,200 delegates.
