The 27th China International Bakery Exhibition will be held from May 19 to 22, 2025, at the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center. With the theme “Innovation-Driven, Connecting the World,” this edition brings together over 2,200 companies from more than 30 countries and regions, spanning an exhibition area of over 330,000 square meters and attracting nearly 400,000 professional visitors.
The show comprehensively covers the entire bakery industry chain, featuring 12 dedicated halls for raw materials, equipment, packaging, and other categories, as well as themed zones highlighting pre‑baked products, traditional Chinese pastries, healthy baking, and intelligent manufacturing. International exhibitors account for over 20% of the total, with European, North American, Japanese, Korean, and Belt and Road–related brands making their debut in a concentrated showcase. A specially designated “Belt and Road Bakery Corridor” highlights the unique ingredients and cultural synergies along the route, while the fusion of Chinese and international expertise stands out as a key highlight.
More than 10,000 innovative products were unveiled during the event. HAITÉ introduced its first fully automated liquid‑starter bread‑making line; SINODIS launched its Ailewei light‑fat whipped cream, breaking through longstanding barriers in low‑fat whipping technology; and Lesaffre’s “LeFenduo Premix Flour” and “Shifu 300 Bread Improver” both received awards for groundbreaking innovations. Over 20 forums were held on cutting‑edge topics such as AI‑powered packaging design and healthy baking, with hundreds of experts discussing emerging industry trends. The 5th Asian Pastry Chefs Competition drew participants from more than ten countries, while experiential zones like the “Find Your Leavening Buddy” bread and coffee festival and the Healthy Baking Festival created immersive, interactive experiences.
Supply‑demand matchmaking was both efficient and pragmatic, with international business‑matching sessions and buyer‑seller product‑selection events facilitating over 15,000 one‑on‑one meetings. Core supply‑chain brands such as Sam’s Club and Hema participated, alongside the second China Bakery Private‑Label Forum. Meanwhile, the inaugural Private‑Brand Operators Forum kicked off, spotlighting the personalized value of emerging brands. The exhibition also brought together academia, industry, and research institutions, hosting investment‑promotion events for food‑industry parks and capital‑matching initiatives to drive high‑quality sectoral growth.
