Hong Kong Asia Bitcoin Conference

The second Bitcoin Asia Conference 2025 was successfully held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from August 28 to 29, 2025. Hosted by BTC Media, the parent company of Bitcoin Magazine, this year’s event was themed “Bringing Together the Most Influential Voices in the Asia-Pacific Region” and has become a premier annual gathering for the global Bitcoin industry.

In terms of scale, the conference set a new record with over 17,000 registered tickets, attracting approximately three times the number of attendees compared to 2024, thereby ranking as the second-largest Bitcoin-themed event worldwide. Over the two-day program, more than 15,000 professional participants from around the globe gathered, including policymakers, mining industry giants, exchange founders, investors, and developers. The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre served as a vivid stage where Eastern and Western narratives on Bitcoin converged and intertwined, with delegations from Japan, Singapore, Dubai, Europe, and North America in attendance. The event featured multiple zones, such as the main stage, exhibition booths, a VIP experience area, and an art gallery, with over 100 sponsors and more than 500 institutional representatives participating.

This year’s conference boasted numerous highlights, with leading global figures serving as the centerpiece of the event. Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, made a high-profile appearance, publicly stating for the first time in Asia that “Bitcoin will eventually surpass one million dollars,” hailing it as “humanity’s greatest store of value.” Binance founder CZ approached the topic from a macro perspective, asserting that “Bitcoin is gradually becoming a global reserve currency” and urging Asian regulators to accelerate their adaptation efforts. Yat Siu, Co-founder of Animoca Brands, explored the future development of digital property rights and the metaverse. Hong Kong Legislator Ng Kai-chung and Securities and Futures Commission Executive Director Ye Zhiheng, among other regulatory representatives, shared the latest updates on virtual asset regulation. Meanwhile, BitGo’s Asia-Pacific Head emphasized the need to shift digital asset treasury management from passive holding to proactive innovation.

Complementary events added richness to the conference, creating a high-end platform for industry dialogue. A special session titled “BTCFi and Real-World Returns from Bitcoin” examined DeFi opportunities within the Bitcoin ecosystem and compliant yield strategies. Japanese firm Metaplanet, Hong Kong-based Moon Inc., South Korean K Wave Media, and other Asian companies presented their strategic practices for integrating Bitcoin into corporate treasuries. An art gallery showcased digital artworks based on Bitcoin’s ordinal numbering system. During the event, Zhuorui Securities, the sole invited Hong Kong brokerage, made its debut, while Chinese digital financial institutions such as Hezhong Vision engaged in in-depth exchanges with international peers.

The professional audience was exceptionally strong, with an unprecedented level of international representation. The conference drew over 15,000 professional attendees from across the globe, including institutional investors, mining executives, exchange founders, developers, and policymakers. Coinciding with the entry into force of Hong Kong’s Stablecoin Ordinance, the new regulatory framework provided clear guidance for the industry. Exhibiting companies widely reported that the quality of the professional audience was high, with well-defined purchasing intentions, resulting in significant commercial matchmaking outcomes on-site.

Outcomes and industry reception were overwhelmingly positive. The organizers announced that Bitcoin Asia 2026 will once again be held in Hong Kong, with plans to further expand the scale and deepen the thematic scope. Attendees agreed that Bitcoin Asia is not only an excellent platform for brand exposure and business networking but also a critical hub for understanding Asian Bitcoin trends and exploring pathways toward compliance and institutionalization. Hong Kong is progressively transforming from “Asia’s marketplace” into a contributor to international rule-making, demonstrating its ambition to become a central nexus within the Asian Bitcoin ecosystem.
