Ningbo International Exhibition on the New Display Industry Supply ChainCDE

The Ningbo International New Display Industry Supply Chain Exhibition (CDE), is jointly organized by the Ningbo Electronics Industry Association, the Ningbo Adhesives and Products Industry Association, the China Optoelectronics Industry Platform, the China New Materials Development Platform, and the Optoelectronic Materials and Devices Network.The exhibition’s mission is to foster close collaboration between domestic display panel manufacturers and upstream raw-materials and equipment suppliers, as well as to promote synergistic innovation among downstream display companies, thereby strengthening and complementing the industrial chain. It aims to break through key core technologies, accelerate the development of critical raw materials, address equipment‑related shortcomings, enhance market share, and bolster both domestic and international exchanges and cooperation. The event seeks to establish a comprehensive platform integrating exhibitions, education, research, and sales, with the goal of refining the industry structure and driving sectoral progress.

At present, China’s display industry has achieved its first-phase objectives, successfully resolving the longstanding challenge of “screen scarcity” in a major producer of display terminals. However, from the perspective of the broader display‑industry value chain, building robust supporting infrastructure—what amounts to an “industrial moat”—remains a formidable task. To address weaknesses in foundational industries such as critical equipment and materials, it is essential to strengthen industry–university–research collaboration, guide coordinated innovation, and refine local supply chains, thereby comprehensively enhancing core competencies. This will help ensure industrial security and play a leading role in advancing global display technology. In tandem with the Ningbo International New Display Industry Supply Chain Exhibition (CDE), related technical exchange forums—including the Ningbo International New Display Industry Innovation and Development Summit Forum and the Ningbo International New Display Industry Supply Chain Matchmaking Conference—are also being held.

Today, the global display industry exceeds USD 100 billion in size, with China emerging as a pivotal force in its development. LCD technology leads the world in scale, while next‑generation display technologies such as OLED and Micro‑LED are flourishing, expanding and reshaping traditional display‑terminal applications and opening up vast new markets.
