Shanghai Yacht, Boat & Accessories ExhibitionProfile
The Shanghai International Boat Show (CIBS) is Asia’s longest-running comprehensive marine exhibition. CIBS will undertake a comprehensive upgrade of its “on-water + surface + underwater” industry ecosystem. While retaining its core segments—yacht displays, marine equipment and accessories, and related services—the show will, for the first time, partner with the Asian Diving Expo (ADEX) to foster deep integration between the yacht industry and diving sports, underwater gear, and ocean‑related lifestyles, thereby creating a holistic platform that covers all facets of marine leisure consumption.
Against the backdrop of national policies that continuously promote service‑sector upgrades and encourage high‑quality growth in yacht consumption, China’s waterfront economy and marine leisure industries are poised for a new wave of development opportunities.
Meanwhile, the sailing‑boat section will be further expanded, bringing together global sailing brands, cutting-edge technologies, and specialized training institutions to establish a premier forum for dialogue and collaboration within the sailing‑sport sector.
As waterfront tourism, water‑based sports, and marine leisure consumption continue to gain momentum, China’s domestic yacht industry is entering a phase of rapid expansion. From casual recreational outings to coastal getaways, lure fishing, and scuba diving experiences, diverse consumer demands are steadily emerging, driving continuous improvements in domestic yacht R&D and manufacturing capabilities.
Leveraging the industry’s growth dividends, the Shanghai International Boat Show (CIBS) will further scale up its showcase of domestically produced yachts, gathering more local shipbuilders and homegrown brands to highlight new products, innovative technologies, and significant achievements in China’s yacht‑manufacturing sector, thus presenting a fresh image of industrial upgrading.
During the event, over 50 specialized activities—including the China International Marine Industry Development Forum, the Asian Yacht Awards Ceremony, a Water Sports Carnival, and new‑product launch events—will take place concurrently, facilitating in-depth discussions on key topics such as industry trends, technological innovation, and market opportunities.
Setting sail once again toward new horizons! The Shanghai International Boat Show (CIBS) will continue to connect global resources, advance collaborative innovation across the industry, and support the high‑quality development of the yacht economy, waterfront cultural‑tourism sectors, and marine leisure industries.

Four Key Reasons to Exhibit at the Shanghai International Boat Show
- Asia’s Flagship Boat Industry Event: As China’s longest-running and Asia’s largest specialized boat show—established in 1996—and a Platinum Member of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), this event has, over nearly three decades, become a vital bridge for global exchange and collaboration within the marine industry, as well as a leading indicator of trends shaping China’s boating sector. It serves as a strategic platform for companies to showcase their capabilities and connect with worldwide resources.
- End-to-End Industry Chain Coverage: The exhibition features comprehensive sections spanning powerboats, sailboats, government vessels, fishing boats, and more; equipment and components such as yacht propulsion systems, marine electronics, spare parts, and safety gear; club‑related services including licensing training, yacht management, and berth rentals; as well as an extensive watersports gear zone. From complete vessel manufacturing to core components, and from propulsion systems to ancillary services, upstream and downstream enterprises engage in efficient matchmaking, precisely aligning with global procurement needs.
- A Vanguard for Green and Smart Technologies: Focusing on the maritime industry’s transformation toward “green, intelligent, and high‑end” solutions, the show highlights cutting‑edge international products and technologies, including all‑electric vessels, hybrid propulsion systems, fuel cells, battery‑powered systems, smart onboard systems, radar and navigation technologies, and advanced communication solutions. This provides a prestigious stage for companies to demonstrate their innovative strengths and secure a competitive edge in technological leadership.
- A Hub for Global Resource Connectivity: Through strategic partnerships with international boat industry associations, the show brings together resources from approximately 90% of the world’s leading leisure‑boat manufacturers. National pavilions from France, the United Kingdom, and other countries participate year after year, creating an efficient pathway for businesses to access global networks and expand into overseas markets.
- Precision‑Driven International Business Matching: Leveraging a buyer database of millions, the event conducts targeted invitations and seamlessly integrates online and offline engagement, helping companies navigate international markets and secure global orders. Through dedicated business‑matching programs, exhibitors are connected efficiently with professional buyers worldwide.
- Comprehensive Supporting Programs for Strategic Growth: Concurrently, the show hosts the China International Marine Industry Development Forum and seminars on green technologies and sustainable development in the marine sector. These events bring together global industry leaders and academic experts to engage in in-depth discussions on前沿 topics such as new energy, 5G, the Internet of Things, autonomous driving, and artificial intelligence, providing a high‑level platform for strategic decision‑making.
- Synergistic Benefits with the Tourism Industry: As a core component of the Shanghai International Tourism Expo, the boat show is held concurrently with five major thematic clusters—including the Tourism Expo Pavilion and Lifestyle Shanghai—sharing tens of thousands of square meters of exhibition space and thousands of exhibiting companies. This synergy explores emerging trends that deeply integrate yachting and water sports with outdoor gear and refined lifestyles, expanding the physical boundaries of traditional industries and unlocking new drivers of consumer demand.
