Shanghai Industrial Fair – China International Industry Fair

The 25th China International Industrial Fair was successfully held from September 23 to 27, 2025, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). With the theme “New Quality in Industry, Boundless Intelligent Manufacturing,” the fair spanned an exhibition area of 300,000 square meters, bringing together exhibitors from 28 countries and regions worldwide—more than 3,000 domestic and international exhibitors, including nearly 300 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry-leading enterprises, as well as over 700 specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative firms. The event attracted a total of224,000 professional visitors from 133 countries and regions, marking an 11% year-on-year increase and reaching a new historical high.

The fair featured nine major thematic pavilions, covering CNC machine tools, industrial automation, robotics, new energy, advanced materials, next-generation information technology, and more. In addition, three special exhibitions were organized: the “National New Industrialization and Major Achievements of the 14th Five-Year Plan” exhibit, the “Intelligent Elderly Care Service Robot Exhibition,” and the “Future Industrial Innovation Exhibition.” Iconic national projects such as the C919 large passenger aircraft’s key structural components, a scale model of the power system for the domestically built large cruise ship “AIDA·Moganshan,” and a 600 km/h high-speed maglev train were prominently showcased. During the fair, nearly 300 global debuts and close to 200 Chinese premieres were presented, with 392 benchmark exhibits systematically categorized for the first time across five dimensions: ultra-large, ultra-small, ultra-light, ultra-precise, and ultra-smart.

The Robotics Pavilion emerged as the most popular section. ABB unveiled its OmniCore™ EyeMotion vision system along with online automatic path-planning technology; JAKA Robotics launched the JAKA EVO industrial embodied intelligence platform and demonstrated innovative applications such as oral implantation robots. ChaiFu Robotics introduced the world’s first heavy-duty industrial robot with a wrist payload of ≥5,000 kg, setting a new record for domestic robotic payloads. Yuejiang Technology showcased the world’s first multi-form “Super Factory” platform, enabling unified scheduling and collaborative operations among humanoid robots, collaborative robotic arms, and wheeled transport robots. Meanwhile, Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Zhibang developed the μAI intelligent machining center, equipped with autonomous exploration and self-evolution capabilities, capable of independently planning process routes and boosting efficiency by 40–60%.

Significant technological breakthroughs were achieved in the field of industrial automation. Siemens exhibited nearly 20 AI-related products and solutions, while jointly developing with Chinese partners an intelligent assembly line for new-energy vehicles that reduced programming time by 30%. Bosch Rexroth, Festo, Beckhoff, and other leading manufacturers showcased cutting-edge technologies such as smart sensors, edge computing, and digital twins. Airtec brought numerous new transmission products, including pneumatic systems, linear guides, and sensors; its black-chrome-coated linear guide series redefined rust-proofing standards. Hikvision, under the theme “IoT Sensing + AI Accelerating Digital Transformation in Industrial Scenarios,” displayed hundreds of software and hardware products spanning multiple sensing technologies.

Concurrent with the fair, the“Industrial Mother Machines + Hundreds of Industries” initiativewas held, unveiling the “Shanghai Industrial Mother Machine Industry Capability Handbook” along with 100 demand lists and 200 supply lists. This resulted in over 80 cooperative projects, with contracted values exceeding RMB 3 billion. Saudi Arabia participated for the first time as a national delegation, while delegations from Poland, Turkey, and Germany returned once again. Bandar Al-Hulaif, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, led his team on visits to several exhibitors, highly commending China’s industrial innovation capabilities. The fair’s international influence continued to grow, with a significant rise in overseas participation—European visitors accounted for 30% of the total.
