Shanghai International Technology Import & Export FairCSITF

The China Shanghai International Technology Import & Export Fair—CSITF is a national-level, international professional exhibition dedicated to technology trade. It is approved by the State Council and hosted by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, with support from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The event is co-organized by the Shanghai International Technology Import & Export Promotion Center and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Machinery and Electronic Products.

This edition of the fair aligns closely with the national strategy to accelerate the development of a globally influential science and technology innovation hub and to establish Shanghai (and the Yangtze River Delta) as an international center for scientific and technological innovation. Upholding the principles of “innovation-driven development, intellectual property protection, and promotion of technology trade,” the event revolves around the theme “Building a New Ecosystem for Technology Trade and Writing a New Chapter in Global Cooperation.” It has achieved significant results in showcasing cutting-edge scientific and technological breakthroughs, connecting global innovation networks, deepening international openness and cooperation, and enhancing the technology trade service system.

The China Shanghai International Technology Import & Export Fair—CSITF covers an exhibition area of 38,000 square meters, bringing together innovative achievements from 22 countries and regions worldwide, as well as from 24 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across China. Qinghai and Tibet participated for the first time, and the number of exhibiting enterprises surpassed 1,000 for the first time, reaching 1,006. Among them, 236 were high-tech companies, specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative enterprises, or “Gazelle” firms. Forty projects made their global or national debut, and the number of intended transactions exceeded 600 for the first time. The fair attracted over 54,000 visitors, with professional attendees accounting for more than 85% of the total, while accompanying events drew 9,730 participants.

Guided by the core philosophy of “Technology Makes Life More Wonderful” and under the theme “Innovation-Driven Development, Intellectual Property Protection, and Promotion of Technology Trade,” the China Shanghai International Technology Import & Export Fair—CSITF aims to integrate domestic and international scientific and technological resources and innovations, thereby establishing itself as an authoritative platform for showcasing, exchanging, and providing services that foster the growth of technology trade and advance the strategic goal of innovation-driven upgrading.
