China Xinjiang International Agricultural Expo – Xinjiang Silk Road Smart Agriculture ExpoProfile
The China Xinjiang International Agricultural Expo (CXIAF) is the most authoritative and pivotal platform for the agricultural sector in Northwest China and Central Asia. This year’s edition has reached a new record in scale, featuring 10 indoor pavilions and an extensive outdoor exhibition area. It showcases multiple thematic zones, including advanced fertilizers, modern agrochemicals, seed technology, water-saving irrigation, smart agriculture, and facility agriculture, while also integrating a 1,000-mu field demonstration zone hosted by the Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, creating a dual‑scene experience that seamlessly blends indoor exhibits with real‑world agricultural settings.
From traditional agricultural inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides, and seeds to cutting-edge technologies like intelligent irrigation, agricultural IoT, digital farmland management, and smart plant protection, this year’s expo comprehensively covers every critical stage of agricultural production. New-generation fertilizers and eco‑friendly plant protection products make their debut, offering innovative solutions for soil improvement and yield enhancement; meanwhile, AI, satellite remote sensing, Beidou navigation, robotics, and other advanced technologies are rapidly being integrated into agricultural practices.
Leveraging Xinjiang’s strategic location at the crossroads of Central Asia, South Asia, and the Belt and Road Initiative, this year’s event has further elevated its international profile. Spanning everything from agricultural inputs to smart farming equipment, and from technological collaborations to product procurement, the China Xinjiang International Agricultural Expo is becoming a key gateway for Chinese agricultural enterprises to access markets along the Belt and Road.
The China Xinjiang International Agricultural Expo (CXIAF) has emerged as a premier professional platform that integrates product display, business transactions, technical exchanges, and international cooperation. This edition not only highlights groundbreaking innovations in agricultural science and technology but also facilitates the precise alignment of advanced cultivation techniques, water‑saving irrigation solutions, and smart agricultural products with the practical needs of Xinjiang and the broader Northwest region. The Exhibition Value of the Xinjiang International Agricultural Expo
- The Largest and Most Authoritative Agricultural Industry Event in Northwest China and Central Asia: The China Xinjiang International Agricultural Expo (CXIAF), approved by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and supported by the Urumqi Municipal People’s Government, stands as the most influential platform for the agricultural sector in Northwest China and Central Asia. It has been awarded both the national 5A-level agricultural certification and the UFI Global Association of the Exhibition Industry accreditation. Since its inception in 2000, the expo has evolved into a pivotal hub connecting Central Asian and domestic agricultural technologies, widely recognized within the industry as “the premier agricultural exhibition along the Silk Road.”
- A One-Stop Showcase Covering the Entire Industry Chain: The expo encompasses every link in the agricultural value chain, including smart and digital agriculture, intelligent irrigation and fertigation systems, advanced fertilizers and plant protection equipment, seed and seedling processing, agricultural machinery and forestry‑fruit‑related equipment, agricultural product processing and packaging, as well as modern facility agriculture. For the 2025 edition, the event will feature 11 thematic pavilions and a 1,000‑mu field demonstration base operated by the Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, with a total exhibition space of 120,000 square meters.
- Precise Matching with Key Buyers and Distribution Channels in Central Asia and China: The 2025 expo will bring together over 2,500 enterprises spanning the entire agricultural value chain, including more than ten Fortune Global 500 companies, over twenty publicly listed firms, and more than fifty international enterprises from Israel, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Norway, Russia, and other countries, collectively showcasing nearly 50,000 cutting-edge technological products. The event will also welcome procurement representatives from farmland development authorities across Silk Road provinces and autonomous regions, purchasing units from all 14 divisions and 174 regimental farms throughout Xinjiang and the Production and Construction Corps, as well as over 30,000 large-scale farmers and more than 10,000 agricultural cooperatives to attend and engage in business discussions.
- Unique Value for Chinese Enterprises—A Core Engine for Belt and Road Agricultural Cooperation: As the “core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt,” Xinjiang maintains close trade ties with Central Asian nations such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. By fostering deep synergies between “market + resources” on one hand and “technology + capital” from mainland China on the other, the expo helps Chinese enterprises expand into Central Asian and Northwest Chinese markets. Concurrent events include the China (Northwest Region) High‑Standard Farmland Construction Conference, the Silk Road Symposium on Smart Agriculture and Seed Industry Innovation, the Silk Road Forum on Plant Protection and Green Pest Control Technologies, and the Silk Road Forum on Technological Advancements in Facility Agriculture, among other high‑level activities.
- A Vanguard for Technological Innovation and Industry Trends: The expo will showcase a range of “black‑tech” innovations, including AI‑powered agricultural robots, soil moisture monitoring systems, smart greenhouse control systems, plant factories, intelligent fertigation solutions, drone‑based plant protection combined with AI‑driven pest and disease identification, saline‑alkali land remediation technologies, and gene‑editing breeding techniques. In 2025, the event is expected to attract over 120,000 professional visitors and generate transaction volumes exceeding RMB 30 million.
