The Exhibition Value of the Yiwu Cross-Border E‑Commerce Fair (EC Fair)

  • China’s Leading Annual Event in the E‑Commerce Sector, with a Strong Focus on Cross-Border E‑Commerce: Since its inception in 2011, the China E‑Commerce Expo (EC Fair) has been successfully held for more than ten editions, establishing itself as one of the most influential and trade‑driven professional exhibitions in China’s e‑commerce industry. Guided by the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the event is co‑hosted by the China International E‑Commerce Center, the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, and the Yiwu Municipal People’s Government. It is widely recognized within the industry as a key indicator of China’s e‑commerce development and the preferred platform for cross-border e‑commerce sellers to source products.
  • A One‑Stop E‑Commerce Ecosystem Covering the Entire Industrial Chain: The fair brings together end-to-end service providers across the entire cross-border e‑commerce value chain, including platforms such as Amazon, TikTok Shop, Temu, SHEIN, and AliExpress; cross-border logistics; overseas warehousing; payment and financial services; marketing and promotion; intellectual property protection; agency operations; e‑commerce parks; talent development; e‑commerce software; and e‑commerce photography. In addition, it showcases hot‑selling cross-border categories such as home goods, consumer electronics, apparel, mother‑and‑baby products, beauty and personal care items, outdoor sports gear, and pet supplies. From factory sourcing to platform store setup, from logistics fulfillment to brand marketing, exhibitors can conduct comprehensive business activities—connecting supply chains and expanding distribution channels—all under one roof.
  • Precise Access to China’s Most Active Cross-Border E‑Commerce Seller Community: The last edition attracted tens of thousands of professional visitors from across the country, over 80% of whom were active sellers operating on mainstream platforms such as Amazon, TikTok Shop, Temu, SHEIN, AliExpress, Shopee, and Lazada. Exhibiting companies can directly engage with cross-border e‑commerce sellers and buyer teams who possess genuine purchasing needs and the capability to develop best‑selling products, achieving efficient order conversion and enhanced brand visibility.
  • Unique Value for Chinese Manufacturers and Brands—Your First Stop for Going Global: Yiwu is the world’s largest hub for small commodities and a major source of cross-border e‑commerce products, boasting more than 70,000 shops and over two million product varieties. These forums feature official representatives from platforms such as Amazon, TikTok Shop, Temu, SHEIN, AliExpress, Shopee, and Lazada, who provide on‑site briefings on the latest policies and share practical operational insights. The 2025 China E‑Commerce Expo (EC Fair) was successfully held from June 18 to 20 at the Yiwu International Expo Center. Co‑hosted by the China International E‑Commerce Center, the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, and the Yiwu Municipal People’s Government, the event was themed “Digital Trade: Global Opportunities” and stood as the e‑commerce industry’s most significant annual gathering for cross‑border e‑commerce. Concurrent with the expo, a series of parallel events were organized, including the China E‑Commerce Summit Forum, the Cross‑Border E‑Commerce Summit, the Amazon Seller Conference, the TikTok Shop Operations Summit, and the Temu Investment Promotion Policy Launch.

With an exhibition area spanning 50,000 square meters, the fair brought together over 1,000 exhibiting companies, occupying all five halls of the Yiwu International Expo Center. The exhibitor lineup included major cross‑border e‑commerce platforms such as Amazon Global Selling, TikTok Shop, Temu, SHEIN, AliExpress, , Shopee, and Lazada, as well as leading service providers like Cainiao International, DiSiFang, Zongteng Group, LianLian Pay, and PingPong. Additionally, the show showcased high‑quality manufacturers from more than 20 national industrial clusters, including Yiwu small commodities, Yongkang hardware, Zhuji hosiery, and Zhili children’s apparel. Overseas buyers from over 100 countries and regions—including the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and South America—attended to source products. Over the three days, the expo welcomed more than 60,000 professional visitors, among whom over 7,000 were international buyers.

For the first time, this edition featured a dedicated “Temu Best‑Selling Products Zone,” which became the event’s standout highlight. The zone showcased top‑selling items and promising product categories across Temu’s , European, and Japan‑Korea markets, covering categories such as home goods, apparel and bags, 3C electronics, beauty and personal care, and pet supplies. Temu’s official team conducted on‑site investment promotion sessions and operational training, sharing insights into Temu’s traffic dynamics, best‑practice strategies for creating hit products, and the distinctions between fully managed and semi‑managed business models. According to Temu’s official data, in the first half of 2025, Temu’s global GMV grew by more than 150% year over year, reflecting steadily rising interest among cross‑border e‑commerce sellers. The zone drew large crowds of sellers eager to learn and select products.

The TikTok Shop exhibition area also enjoyed strong popularity, with operational teams from TikTok Shop’s , , and Southeast Asian sites present to share content‑driven traffic strategies, influencer collaboration tactics, and live‑streaming sales techniques. TikTok Shop’s investment manager emphasized that categories such as stationery and gifts, beauty and personal care, household essentials, and apparel and bags have performed exceptionally well on the platform, with short‑video and live‑stream content effectively stimulating latent consumer demand. During the expo, a “TikTok Shop Influencer Product‑Selection Networking Session” was also held, inviting several million‑follower TikTok influencers to participate in product curation, providing exhibiting factories with direct access to influential creators.

The Amazon Global Selling exhibition area remained a focal point for sellers, as the Amazon team presented its latest 2025 investment policies, highlighting new services such as Amazon Business and Supply Chain by Amazon. Addressing Chinese sellers’ concerns about compliance‑driven operations, Amazon also hosted a specialized training session on “Account Security and Compliance Management.” Several top Amazon sellers shared their product‑selection strategies and operational experiences, noting, “Amazon remains the primary gateway for brands expanding overseas, but the demands for refined operations and robust compliance capabilities continue to rise.”

The Yiwu Cross‑Border E‑Commerce Industrial Cluster Tour received high praise from overseas buyers, as the organizers arranged a guided visit to Yiwu International Trade City, the Yiwu Cross‑Border E‑Commerce Pilot Zone, Cainiao’s Yiwu Bonded Warehouse, and the departure station of the Yiwu–Europe Railway Express. Overseas buyers commended the completeness and efficiency of Yiwu’s cross‑border e‑commerce ecosystem, with many affirming that Yiwu’s advantages as a “global sourcing hub” are irreplaceable.

As China’s cross‑border e‑commerce sector enters a new phase characterized by brand‑driven globalization and high‑quality development, supply chain capabilities, brand strength, and global operational expertise will be critical to corporate success. Leveraging Yiwu’s strategic position as a “global sourcing hub” and its thriving cross‑border e‑commerce ecosystem, the EC Fair has evolved into a premier industry gathering where Chinese manufacturers, brands, sellers, platforms, and service providers collaborate. It serves as a strategic platform for businesses to identify emerging trends, connect with key resources, and expand market channels.
