The Value of Participating in the Global Sources Consumer Electronics Show in Hong Kong

  • Global Sources Consumer Electronics is one of the largest and most influential B2B consumer electronics procurement events worldwide, widely regarded as a bellwether for the Asian consumer electronics industry and a central hub connecting global buyers with Chinese and Asian supply chains. Held twice annually—in spring and autumn—at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, the show leverages Global Sources’ more than fifty years of industry expertise and its extensive global buyer network, serving as a strategic platform for consumer electronics companies seeking to expand into international markets and showcase cutting-edge technologies.
  • The core value of participation lies in its platform attributes of “full-category coverage plus precise buyer matching,” enabling targeted connections to global procurement resources. Covering the entire industrial chain—from consumer electronics and mobile electronics to smart home, security and home appliances, electronic components, and gaming/esports—the show attracts professional buyers from Europe, ASEAN, the Middle East, and beyond, with European and American buyers accounting for over 40%. Through its AI-powered O2O service model, the show facilitates pre-show precision matching, in-show in-depth negotiations, and post-show continuous promotion, significantly enhancing trade-matching efficiency.
  • The show brings together leading brands and innovative forces, establishing an international stronghold of brand value. The first-phase gaming and esports zone drew over 200 well-known brands, including Daru, Wolf Spider, Laisida, VGN, Fuling, Titan Legion, Jinhetian, Maicong, Aiteke, and others. The smart mobility zone gathered industry leaders such as Yadea, Zhishengfu, Tantu Technology, Dayu Zhihang, and Qike. Meanwhile, Liulian Intelligence, Acer, and other companies unveiled groundbreaking products like AI PCs and glasses-free 3D notebooks, becoming the center of attention.
  • The show aligns closely with three core trends—“AI reconfiguring industries, scenario-based innovation, and agile responsiveness”—to build a technologically advanced hub integrating research, development, production, and application. At the 2025 second-phase show, a dedicated AI Pavilion was constructed, featuring over 1,200 booths showcasing seven hot tracks: smart terminals, smart wearables, smart glasses, smart toys, smart pet supplies, smart health care products, and AI-integrated offerings. The physical AI zone displayed commercial products such as humanoid robots, embodied intelligent robots, and lawn-mowing robots, illustrating AI’s evolution from “perceptual intelligence” to “decision-making intelligence.” Glasses-free 3D technology, enabled by iris tracking and high-speed visual processors, achieves dynamic focus adjustment, delivering immersive stereoscopic experiences without additional equipment.
  • The show innovatively introduces KOL selections, IP collaborations, and blind box economies, reshaping the B2B procurement paradigm. The second-phase show hosted the “KOL and Buyer Choice Award for Most Popular Gaming Peripherals,” inviting million-follower esports peripheral review KOLs to serve as chief judges. Working alongside on-site buyers, they evaluated gaming mice, keyboards, chairs, monitors, controllers, and headsets across five dimensions, providing global purchasers with valuable market insights. Exhibitors also adopted international IP licensing strategies—such as Hasbro’s Transformers—and developed original trendy IPs—like MEOWZART—to achieve a value leap from “practicality” to “cultural symbolism.” The blind box economy began testing the B2B market, with Akko launching IP keycap blind boxes and Happi Class introducing virtual community blind box series, injecting fresh vitality into B2B procurement.
  • For Chinese enterprises, this show serves as a strategic gateway to demonstrate technological prowess, connect with global buyers, and open up overseas markets. Each year, the show attracts over 60,000 international professional buyers, with European and American buyers accounting for more than 40%. At the 2025 autumn second-phase show, over 50,463 buyers attended, including 26% from Western Europe, 18% from East Asia, 16% from the Americas, and 12% from ASEAN. Guided by the core philosophy of “more than just exhibiting—connecting through the supply chain,” the show assembled approximately 4,500 high-quality Asian suppliers, over 8,500 booths, and more than 340,000 trending new products, providing participating companies with end-to-end ecosystem support—from trend insight and product ideation to manufacturing and delivery.

Review

The Global Sources Hong Kong Show 2025 was successfully held in three phases from October 11 to 30, 2025, at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. This edition of the show was themed “Exploring Future Technologies, Enjoying Leisure and Entertainment,” encompassing popular purchasing categories such as gaming, consumer electronics, electronic components, mobile electronics, smart home, security and home appliances, household and kitchenware, quality living, and sports & outdoor products.

In terms of scale, the event brought together approximately 5,000 high-quality Asian suppliers, featuring nearly 9,000 booths and showcasing over 340,000 trending products, with an anticipated attendance of more than 100,000 professional buyers from around the world. The first phase attracted over 2,000 premium Asian suppliers, presenting more than 100,000 innovative professional-grade products, and drawing over 60,000 international B2B professionals, among whom buyers from Europe and North America accounted for more than 40%. The second phase of the Mobile Electronics Exhibition spanned 50,000 square meters, with 2,639 booths and 1,248 exhibitors, welcoming over 50,463 visitors, including 26% from Western Europe, 18% from East Asia, 16% from the Americas, and 12% from ASEAN.

This year’s show featured numerous highlights, with AI PCs taking center stage. The exhibition comprehensively showcased the latest trends in the deep integration of artificial intelligence and consumer electronics. Innovative products and technologies in areas such as AI PCs, wearable devices, and glasses-free 3D became the focal points. The PC market showed a clear polarization: while traditional PCs faced intensifying price wars, the AI PC segment demonstrated robust growth momentum. Liulian Intelligence presented its strategic vision of “software-hardware integration and ecosystem synergy,” offering ready-to-use customized AI solutions through a hardware computing matrix comprising AI PCs, mini AI workstations, enterprise AI workstations, and AI servers, paired with its self-developed AI assistant and EAM enterprise intelligent management platform. The company has established ecosystem partnerships with over a hundred independent software developers. Lightweight AI PCs have emerged as a new market favorite; Liulian Intelligence’s xN25 series ultrabooks measure just 15.95 mm thick and weigh less than 1 kg, equipped with the latest AI platform and local large-model computing power. Breakthroughs were also achieved in glasses-free 3D technology: Liulian Intelligence’s glasses-free 3D laptops and all-in-one PCs utilize iris tracking and high-speed visual processors to enable dynamic focus adjustment, supporting seamless switching between 2D and 3D modes.

The gaming and esports zone, along with the KOL selection event, proved to be major highlights. A dedicated gaming exhibition drew over 200 leading companies, including Daru, Wolf Spider, Laisida, VGN, Fuling, and others. For the first time, the show introduced a “KOL and Buyer Choice Award for Most Popular Gaming Peripherals,” inviting several internationally renowned KOLs with millions of followers in the esports peripheral review space to serve as chief judges. Together with on-site buyers, they established a dual evaluation system—70% professional ratings and 30% buyer votes—covering six major categories: gaming mice, keyboards, chairs, monitors, controllers, and headsets. The final 18 shortlisted products underwent rigorous jury assessments at the exhibition, with results announced during the awards ceremony.

IP collaborations and the blind box economy are reshaping the landscape of electronic trade. Many exhibitors leveraged IP cross-border integrations to showcase three innovative pathways: Shenzhen Qishun Innovation Technology secured the Transformers Bumblebee IP from Hasbro USA and launched a series of derivative products; Qi’ao Communications introduced its original MEOWZART consumer electronics line; AKKO and its sub-brand MonsGeek unveiled keyboards co-branded with One Piece, Hatsune Miku, and Joy of Life, alongside other self-incubated IP product lines. Some IP holders began experimenting with the blind box economic model in the B2B market, with AKKO launching IP keycap blind boxes and Happi Class debuting virtual community blind box collections.

Complementary events added vibrancy, creating a high-end platform for industry exchange. During the show, the second Global Sources Innovation Awards ceremony was held, bringing together industry associations, tech media, standards organizations, buyers, and the Global Sources judging panel. For the first time, the event partnered with the prestigious European Product Design Award (EPDA)™ to launch the “Best Product Design Award.” The Global Sources Summit featured an esports-themed session, including the “Next Tech Opportunities” esports summit and the “Commercial Esports: Strategic Partnerships and Profit Growth” esports workshop, inviting experts such as Unilumin’s Global Esports Industry Director, XCL World Academy lecturer, and NASEF founder and CEO to discuss esports models, technological innovation, and global market trends.

The show’s outcomes and industry response were overwhelmingly positive. Exhibiting companies generally reported that this year’s event reached new heights in both scale and professionalism, attracting high-quality international audiences and sustaining a steadily rising level of engagement. Companies like Liulian Intelligence and Acer showcased their latest breakthroughs in the AI PC field, garnering significant attention from buyers worldwide. Global Sources CEO Hu Wei stated that the show, through its O2O model, achieved deep online-offline integration, positioning itself as a trend-setting platform and incubator for innovative achievements. Attendees agreed that the Global Sources Hong Kong Show is not only an excellent venue for brand exposure and business matchmaking but also a crucial hub for understanding industry trends and exploring AI-driven pathways in consumer electronics, vividly illustrating the sector’s innovative vitality and global influence.
