Profile
Zhejiang Hangzhou International Exhibition on Research and Medical Instrumentation Technology (IAIE CHINA) was founded in 2004 and is organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Health Commission. Since its inception, the exhibition has consistently adhered to the guiding principle of “drawing on diverse strengths and expanding exchanges,” leveraging its platform to serve both Zhejiang and the global community. It has tirelessly contributed to fostering international exchanges and cooperation in medical science and technology, helping Zhejiang establish itself as a leading hub for life sciences and health innovation.
Zhejiang Hangzhou International Exhibition on Research and Medical Instrumentation Technology (IAIE CHINA), with the care and support of leaders at all levels and through the concerted efforts of all stakeholders, has firmly taken root in Zhejiang—a vibrant and opportunity-rich region—becoming a premier international event in the fields of medical technology and medical instrumentation. The exhibition plays a pivotal role in promoting collaboration between hospitals and enterprises, facilitating the exchange of medical technologies and information, and advancing partnerships among domestic and international medical product companies.
Over the course of past editions, our province has attracted international cutting-edge research and medical devices totaling more than RMB 10 billion. Through the exhibition’s platform, these advanced technologies have been introduced, assimilated, and further innovated, resulting in the continuous launch of medical device products that meet industry needs and boast superior technical performance. Meanwhile, a growing number of domestic medical device manufacturers with independent intellectual property rights have emerged, significantly boosting the development of Zhejiang’s medical device sector and providing strong impetus to the province’s scientific research and public health endeavors.
Exhibitors include renowned international brands such as GE from the United States, Philips from the Netherlands, Siemens from Germany, bioMérieux from France, Johnson & Johnson, and B. Braun, alongside an increasing presence of domestic medical device companies. Local Zhejiang firms like Shaoxing Mingfeng, Ningbo Xingaoyi, Ningbo Kangda Intercontinental, Hangzhou Meinova, Hangzhou Lichuang, and Tonglu Tiansong, as well as prominent national players such as Shenzhen Mindray and Shenzhen LanYun, have all showcased their offerings. This exhibition is currently the only domestic event in the medical device sector that integrates procurement processes with government purchasing.
As Zhejiang Hangzhou International Exhibition on Research and Medical Instrumentation Technology (IAIE CHINA) embarks on a new journey toward the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country, and amid the significant opportunities presented by Zhejiang’s vigorous efforts to become an “important window” on the global stage, it is strategically positioning itself, taking proactive measures, and striving to enhance the region’s reputation as a premier exhibition destination. With the aim of establishing itself as a first-class, internationally influential large-scale professional exhibition brand, the event continues to forge ahead, committed to making fresh contributions to the advancement of medical science and technology and the overall progress of public health in Zhejiang Province.

The Exhibition Value of the Hangzhou International Medical Equipment Expo
- IAIE CHINA is the largest and most influential specialized event for medical instruments and equipment in the Yangtze River Delta region of China. Co-hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Health Commission and the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology, it has been successfully held for thirty-six editions since its inception in 2004, serving as a core platform for advancing Zhejiang Province’s development into a leading hub for life sciences and health innovation. Guided by the exhibition philosophy of “drawing on diverse strengths and expanding exchanges,” and distinguished by its unique positioning as the only domestic medical‑device trade show integrated with government procurement, IAIE CHINA has become an essential bridge connecting cutting‑edge international medical technologies with the local Zhejiang market.
- The core value of participation lies in its unparalleled advantage in facilitating connections with government procurement channels and its comprehensive platform covering the entire industry chain. Beyond serving as a showcase for products and a forum for technological exchange, the expo functions as a critical platform for annual centralized procurement of medical equipment by healthcare institutions at all levels across Zhejiang Province. Over the years, the event has facilitated the introduction of internationally advanced research and medical devices totaling more than RMB 10 billion. Exhibitors can directly engage with hospitals, health agencies, and government procurement decision‑makers throughout Zhejiang and the broader Yangtze River Delta, achieving a seamless end‑to‑end process from product presentation to order fulfillment, with exceptionally high conversion rates.
- The expo has established a one‑stop commercial platform that spans the entire medical technology industry chain. Exhibits range from traditional medical devices—such as IVD diagnostics, operating room equipment, medical ultrasound systems, radiological equipment, and physiotherapy devices—to innovative technologies like “medical + robotics” and “medical + AI.” Through a hybrid model combining comprehensive and thematic displays with both offline and online formats, the event hosts five categories of supporting activities, including exhibitions, academic seminars, promotional negotiations,成果 releases, and centralized procurement, providing exhibitors with end‑to‑end services—from technical demonstrations to market implementation.
- Keeping pace with industry trends toward “new scenarios, new technologies, and new developments,” the expo has forged a robust hub for deep integration among industry, academia, research, and application. At the 2026 edition, a dedicated Innovation in Healthcare Zone will feature specialized sections such as “International Innovative Technologies,” “Domestically Developed Innovative Medical Products,” as well as cutting‑edge areas like “Medical + Robotics” and “Medical + AI.” During the event, participating companies will have opportunities to host launch events for new products and technologies, establishing the expo as a premier venue for unveiling industry‑leading innovations and setting emerging trends.
- For enterprises, this expo represents a strategic gateway to tap into the East China market, connect with government resources, and showcase their innovative capabilities. As one of China’s most economically dynamic provinces, Zhejiang is actively building itself into a premier center for life sciences and health innovation. Anchored in Zhejiang, extending across the Yangtze River Delta, and reaching nationwide, the expo offers domestic and international medical‑technology firms a golden pathway into China’s core medical market. By leveraging this platform, exhibitors can access government procurement channels and seize early opportunities in the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of China’s medical device sector.
