Profile

The China International Textile Fabrics & Accessories Expo (Intertextile Shanghai) was founded in 1995. To promote the development of China’s textile industry and the prosperity of its textile market, as well as to strengthen international trade and economic‑technical exchanges and cooperation within the sector, it is organized by the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

As a key global platform for the textile industry, this edition of the expo takes place at a critical juncture when companies are positioning themselves for the autumn‑winter market and preparing for the peak “Golden September–Silver October” season. In the face of evolving global demand and ongoing industrial upgrading, how can enterprises accurately identify business opportunities, connect with high‑quality clients, and seize the initiative in shaping future growth? The Intertextile Autumn/Winter Fabrics & Accessories Expo offers fresh solutions to these challenges.

The China International Textile Fabrics & Accessories Expo (Intertextile Shanghai) attracts professional buyers from 123 countries and regions, spanning brand apparel manufacturers, trading companies, design studios, purchasing groups, and other sectors, underscoring the event’s strong appeal in linking global markets and fostering industry collaboration.

In line with emerging trends in the textile and apparel industries, this year’s expo will further refine its comprehensive professional exhibition framework, featuring 16 major thematic zones, including formal wear fabrics, fashion women’s wear fabrics, casual wear fabrics, functional/sportswear fabrics, denim, shirt fabrics, leather and plush fabrics, lingerie fabrics, wedding and formalwear fabrics, infant and children’s fabrics, pattern design, trims and accessories, dyes and auxiliaries, and digital‑intelligence innovation.

We cordially invite textile enterprises worldwide to gather in Shanghai, jointly explore new industry trends, and create shared value in the years ahead. The China International Textile Fabrics & Accessories Expo (Intertextile Shanghai) will continue to upgrade its business‑matching services, leveraging digital tools and AI technologies to proactively match exhibitors with potential customers, inviting high‑caliber global buyers and specialized buyer delegations, while tailoring distinctive procurement‑connection events aligned with market dynamics—helping companies achieve more efficient and precise commercial engagements.

Review

From September 2 to 4, 2025, the China International Textile Fabrics & Accessories (Autumn/Winter) Expo was successfully held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). This edition brought together over 3,700 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions, occupying a total exhibition space of 240,000 square meters across nine pavilions. Over the three-day event, more than 100,000 professional visitors from 123 countries and regions attended.

The exhibition layout has been comprehensively upgraded, with eight specialized zones meticulously arranged. For the first time, the show introduced the “Professional Selection Dual‑Use Fabrics Zone,” responding to market demand for cost‑effective everyday fashion. The Sustainable Development Zone expanded significantly by over 60%, while the newly launched Econogy Hub, with its distinct sustainability theme and open‑concept booth design, delivered an immersive, interactive experience. The Functional Fabrics Zone showcased innovative developments such as bio‑based fibers, recycled nylon derived from discarded fishing nets, and recyclable fabrics. Meanwhile, the “Innovation and Digital Solutions Zone” made a major debut, featuring diverse solutions—including AI‑driven textile quality‑inspection technologies, design systems, and software—presented by the Artificial Intelligence Design Lab (AiDLab) and Shima Seiki Manufacturing, respectively.

A strong lineup of exhibitors and impressive international participation. National and regional pavilions from Pakistan, South Korea, Japan, Italy (Milano Unica), India, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other markets were in attendance, with Turkey making its debut. Lenzing Group assembled the “Lenzing Satellite Pavilion,” bringing together 43 value‑chain partners around its portfolio of five differentiated flagship products, thereby presenting a complete end‑to‑end supply chain—from fibers and yarns to fabrics and finished garments. 3M China showcased its latest innovations, including the functional thermal insulation material Thinsulate™ and the protective agent Scotchgard™. Companies such as Wanxinglong, Kunshan Huayang, Nantong Dongyi, and Anhui Huayang New Materials also participated, highlighting recyclable and biodegradable functional fabrics.

A rich array of concurrent events, with 37 seminars providing in‑depth insights. During the expo, a total of 37 seminars and nine thematic forums were held. The Intertextile Trend Zone, in collaboration with the Fashion Europe Pavilion and other display areas, presented over 900 innovative samples that seamlessly blend style with functionality. Topics such as the analysis of Autumn/Winter 2026–2027 trends, the application of artificial intelligence in material testing and design, and the role of smart manufacturing and advanced materials in shaping the future of functional textiles sparked extensive discussions. Approximately 150 buyer representatives from eight countries—including Brazil, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam—participated in 130 business‑matching sessions and three guided tours of the exhibition. Additionally, 50 VIP buyers from 14 countries engaged in up to 350 individual business negotiations.

An unprecedented level of internationalization and strong purchasing intent among buyers. The number of international buyers grew markedly, with overseas visitors representing 123 countries and regions. Becky Godfrey‑Faussett, Director of Snuggy Hoods in the UK, remarked that the expo has become an efficient one‑stop procurement platform, underscoring the industry’s clear shift toward sustainable development models. Wang Zhe, Fabric Manager at WEISSMAN in the United States, emphasized that the event gathers high‑end exhibitors covering virtually the entire value chain, making it the preferred destination each year for sourcing functional fabrics, jacquard textiles, and embroidered fabrics. The next edition of the expo is scheduled to take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) in September 2026.
