Exhibition Introduction
The Value of Participating in the China International Textile Fabrics Expo (Intertextile Shanghai)
- The world’s largest and most influential professional textile fabrics expo. Co‑organized by Messe Frankfurt (Hong Kong) Ltd., the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the China Textile Information Center, after nearly three decades of development, the expo has firmly established itself as the undisputed flagship platform at the upstream end of the global textile supply chain. The Autumn 2025 edition attracted over 3,700 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions, drawing more than 100,000 professional visitors from 123 countries and regions. As a core component of the “Five‑Expo Synergy” held concurrently with CHIC Apparel Show, yarnexpo Yarn Show, and PH Value Knitting Show, the expo serves as a strategic gateway for companies to showcase their innovation, connect with global resources, and stay abreast of upstream trends.
- Comprehensive coverage of the entire textile value chain, with nine specialized zones precisely aligned. Spanning 240,000 square meters across nine pavilions, the expo features dedicated zones for women’s fashion fabrics, formal wear fabrics, casual wear fabrics, functional sportswear fabrics, shirt fabrics, underwear fabrics, infant and children’s fabrics, as well as specialized areas such as dynamic denim, accessory horizons, patterned designs, fine woolen fabrics, functional fabrics, the Sustainability Zone (Econogy Hub), and the Digital Solutions Zone. From basic fabrics to cutting-edge technologies, from traditional craftsmanship to digital transformation, the expo fully presents the innovative achievements of the entire textile value chain.
- Gathering top-tier global enterprises, delivering outstanding results in international procurement. The expo draws pavilions from Pakistan, South Korea, Japan, Italy (Milano Unica), India, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other countries and regions, with Turkey making its debut. The Functional Fabrics Zone brings together international giants such as 3M China, Nilit, Toray, Toyobo, and Unifi; meanwhile, the Fine Woolen Fabrics Zone hosts Europe’s leading wool suppliers, including Abraham Moon & Sons, Albini, Cerruti 1881, and Scabal. Lenzing Group, in partnership with 43 value-chain collaborators, has assembled a “Satellite Pavilion” that comprehensively showcases the full textile value chain, from fibers to finished garments.
- A vanguard for sustainability and digital innovation. This year, the Sustainability Zone has expanded by over 60%, with the new Econogy Hub highlighting eco‑friendly dyes, bio‑based leathers, and innovative fabrics made from fruit pulp and algae. Chloris Biochem’s eco‑dye solutions and PEELSPHERE’s innovative fabrics crafted from fruit waste and algae have garnered widespread attention. The upgraded “Innovation and Digital Solutions Zone” brings together AiDLab, Shima Seiki, and other enterprises, showcasing AI‑driven textile quality inspection technologies, 3D virtual prototyping systems, and other digital solutions.
- Thirty-seven high‑level forums empowering industry stakeholders, fostering deep integration among academia, research, industry, and end‑users. Throughout the expo, 37 seminars and 9 thematic forums were held, addressing hot topics such as trend forecasting, sustainable development, smart manufacturing, and advanced materials. The Intertextile Trend Zone, in collaboration with the European Fashion Pavilion and other display areas, presented over 900 innovative samples blending fashion and functionality. Approximately 150 buyer representatives from Brazil, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam, and other countries participated in 130 business matching sessions and three guided tours, while 50 VIP buyers from 14 countries engaged in up to 350 individual business negotiations.
