The Exhibition Value of the Shenzhen Textile Fabric Show

  • Intertextile Shenzhen, the largest and most influential professional textile fabric event in South China, was upgraded in 2020 to the “Greater Bay Area International Textile Fabric and Accessories Expo.” Leveraging Shenzhen’s strategic position as the core hub of the fashion industry in the Greater Bay Area, it is now integrated with the Yarn Expo, Apparel Expo, and Knitwear Expo, forming a comprehensive platform that connects global textile supply chain resources, showcases cutting-edge technological advancements, and sets the direction for industry trends. Co-organized by Messe Frankfurt (Hong Kong) Ltd., the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Shenzhen Garment Industry Association, the event is held annually at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center (Futian). The 2026 edition will take place from June 9 to 11.
  • The core value of participation lies in its unique ability to connect with the Greater Bay Area’s thriving fashion industry cluster and its highly concentrated pool of professional buyers. As a key center for fashion production and design, South China continues to experience robust growth, hosting thousands of fashion brands across multiple sectors. In 2025, the exhibition spanned 45,000 square meters, bringing together 650 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions, and attracting 40,000 professional visitors from 64 countries and regions. These attendees include decision-makers across the entire value chain—clothing manufacturers, trading companies, importers/exporters, wholesalers/distributors, agents, retailers/chain stores, purchasing offices, designers/studios—providing participating companies with a strategic gateway to engage directly with the region’s top procurement decision-makers.
  • The show establishes a one-stop commercial platform covering the entire textile value chain. Exhibits are organized into thematic zones, including formal wear fabrics, women’s fashion fabrics, casual wear fabrics, functional/sportswear fabrics, denim, shirt fabrics, leather/fur fabrics, lingerie fabrics, wedding/gown fabrics, infant and children’s fabrics, pattern design, accessory innovations, and related products and services, creating a complete industrial ecosystem from fiber to finished garment. Held concurrently with yarnexpo—the Greater Bay Area International Yarn Expo, CHIC—the Greater Bay Area International Apparel and Accessories Expo, and PH Value—the Greater Bay Area International Knitwear Expo—the event forms the largest specialized textile trade show in the Greater Bay Area.
  • The exhibition aligns with three major industry trends—AI empowerment, sustainable fashion, and digital design—establishing a cutting-edge technology hub through deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application. At the 2025 show, the Artificial Intelligence Design Lab (AiDLab) showcased AI-driven solutions tailored for apparel and textiles, developing innovative applications in garment inspection and fashion design. Many visitors expressed particular interest in these AI-powered design tools. Meanwhile, the Hong Kong Fur Association promoted sustainable and ethical practices in modern fur production, drawing significant buyer interest and fostering collaborative opportunities in both women’s and men’s fashion segments. Korean buyer Mr. Lee De-won noted that this year’s exhibitors demonstrated marked improvements in quality and scale, presenting diverse styles and materials, and he has already identified numerous high-quality Chinese products worth recommending to his clients.
  • The exhibition brings together international premium suppliers, further enhancing its global reach. In 2025, exhibitors from 14 countries and regions—including France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam—presented high-quality fabrics and accessories. Policarpo’s sales manager from Italy reported receiving a diversified clientele, primarily domestic customers but also a growing number of European buyers, noting a significant increase in visitor numbers compared to the previous edition and expressing plans to continue participating in future Shanghai exhibitions.
  • Backed by Messe Frankfurt’s global network, the exhibition provides enterprises with a strategic pathway to expand into domestic and international markets. As one of the world’s renowned textile fabric series, the Intertextile brand has upheld principles of professionalism and trade since its inception in 1995, earning widespread acclaim within the industry. For the 2026 edition, the exhibition is expected to cover 37,500–45,000 square meters, host 900 exhibitors, and attract 17,664 professional visitors. Participating companies can leverage this platform to access the Greater Bay Area’s core procurement networks and seize early opportunities in the digital, intelligent, and sustainable transformation of the textile industry.

Exhibition Review

The 2025 Greater Bay Area International Textile Fabrics and Accessories Expo was successfully held from June 11 to 13 at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center (Futian). This edition of the expo was co-organized by Messe Frankfurt (Hong Kong) Ltd., the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Shenzhen Apparel Industry Association. It was integrated with four concurrent exhibitions—yarnexpo Yarn Show, CHIC Fashion Show, and PH Value Knitwear Show—making it a flagship annual event for the textile industry in South China.

In terms of scale, the expo spanned 45,000 square meters, bringing together 650 exhibiting companies from 13 countries and regions worldwide, and attracting 40,000 professional visitors from 64 countries and regions. Exhibits covered the entire value chain, including formal wear fabrics, fashion women’s wear fabrics, casual wear fabrics, functional/sportswear fabrics, dynamic denim, shirt fabrics, leather/fur, lingerie fabrics, wedding/gown fabrics, infant and children’s fabrics, pattern design, and accessories, showcasing the latest advancements and cutting-edge technologies in the textile sector.

This year’s expo featured numerous highlights, with AI technology and sustainable fashion emerging as central attractions. The Artificial Intelligence Design Lab (AiDLab) presented AI‑driven solutions tailored to the apparel and textile industries, developing innovative applications for garment inspection and fashion design, which drew considerable interest from fabric manufacturers and fashion designers. Meanwhile, the Hong Kong Fur Association educated industry peers on integrating sustainability and ethical practices into modern fur production, garnering strong buyer interest and fostering collaborative opportunities in both women’s and men’s wear segments.

The international exhibitor lineup was particularly robust. A sales manager from Italy’s Policarpo reported receiving a diverse clientele, primarily domestic customers supplemented by numerous European buyers, noting a significant increase in foot traffic compared to the previous edition. Mr. Lee De‑won, a buyer from South Korea, remarked that this year’s exhibitors had markedly improved in both quality and scale, offering products characterized by diversified styles and materials. He has already identified several high‑quality Chinese offerings worth recommending to his clients, underscoring Shenzhen’s status as a premier fashion hub. Ms. Jo Singh, a Singaporean buyer, returned to the expo after nearly a decade, successfully connecting with multiple reputable Japanese and Korean suppliers—particularly those specializing in recycled polyester—and actively sourcing innovative, sustainable materials such as alpaca wool and cashmere for her winter collections.

The professional visitor base was equally impressive, with the quality of buyer resources standing out. Ms. She Shi‑hui, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Hong Kong) Ltd., noted that, amid the e‑commerce boom and evolving consumer preferences, the market is continually transforming—a trend vividly reflected at the expo. The on‑site diversity of fabric procurement options, coupled with the integration of digital AI solutions, has effectively bolstered industry collaboration and innovation. Exhibiting companies widely reported the high caliber of professional attendees, clear purchasing objectives, and highly effective business matchmaking outcomes.

Attendees agreed that the Greater Bay Area International Textile Fabrics and Accessories Expo serves not only as an outstanding platform for brand exposure and commercial networking but also as a pivotal hub for gaining insights into South China’s textile trends and exploring pathways for AI‑enabled and sustainable fashion development.

The 2026 Shenzhen International Textile Fabrics and Accessories Expo is scheduled to take place from June 9 to 11, 2026, at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center (Futian). The event is expected to cover 37,500–45,000 square meters, host 900 exhibiting companies, and attract between 17,664 and 40,000 professional visitors. The expo will continue to provide an efficient platform for global exchange and collaboration within the textile fabrics industry.
