Autumn Canton Fair, Phase IIIProfile
The Autumn Canton Fair, the third phase of the event, was first held in spring 1957 and takes place twice annually—spring and autumn—in Guangzhou. It is currently China’s longest-running, highest‑level, largest‑scale, most comprehensive international trade fair, offering the widest range of product categories, attracting the greatest number of buyers, and delivering the best transaction outcomes. The fair is jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, the China Foreign Trade Center, import‑export chambers of commerce and associations, and various trade delegations. The Canton Fair comprises 48 trade delegations, with tens of thousands of reputable and well‑capitalized enterprises participating, including foreign trade companies, manufacturing firms, research institutes, foreign‑invested or wholly foreign‑owned enterprises, and private businesses.
The Autumn Canton Fair, the third phase, features flexible and diversified trading mechanisms, primarily focused on export activities while also engaging in imports, and facilitating various forms of economic and technological cooperation and exchanges. The Exhibition Value of the Third Phase of the Canton Fair
- A Global Trade Event Centered on the Theme of a Better Life: As the core segment of China’s foreign trade “barometer,” the third phase of the Canton Fair is themed “A Better Life,” with an exhibition area of 515,000 square meters, approximately 25,000 booths, and over 12,000 participating enterprises. Among them, more than 2,900 are national-level high-tech companies, specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative “Little Giant” enterprises, or manufacturing single-champion firms, showcasing the robust international competitiveness of Chinese consumer goods.
- Comprehensive Personal Consumption Solutions Across All Categories: Covering five major sectors—fashion, home textiles, toys and infant‑child products, stationery, and health & leisure—along with 21 distinct exhibition zones, this edition features apparel, footwear, luggage, and office stationery, each occupying exhibition spaces larger than those of comparable global trade shows. Hot topics such as pet supplies, camping and outdoor leisure, and new consumption trends among the silver generation precisely address evolving global consumption patterns.
- A Premier Launchpad for Smart Healthcare Innovations: For the first time, a dedicated “Smart Healthcare Zone” has been established, attracting leading domestic companies to showcase cutting-edge technological advances—including medical robots, intelligent diagnostics, wearable devices, smart massage and physiotherapy systems, and health‑monitoring technologies—thereby driving the deep integration of new‑type productive forces into every link of the health‑management value chain.
- A Hub of Global Buyer Resources: As of October 27, the first two phases of the Canton Fair have drawn nearly 240,000 overseas buyers from 223 countries and regions, a 6.8% increase compared with the same period last session, with particularly strong growth among buyers from the European Union, the Middle East, the United States, and South America. The third phase focuses on fast‑moving consumer goods, attracting a large contingent of specialized buyers in apparel, textiles, and food sectors.
- Empowering New Supply Chains through “Smart × Green × Creative” Innovation: From treadmills that “think” and tailor personalized workout plans, to intelligent surgical robots delivering precise procedures, to biobased toys that are biodegradable and recyclable, and eco‑friendly, durable ski suits, companies are reshaping everyday life through intelligence, sustainability, and personalization. From original designs to novel composite materials, these innovative products meet the deep‑seated needs of global consumers for health, emotional well‑being, and aesthetic appeal.
- An Accelerator for Integrated Domestic and International Trade: An innovative 3,000‑square‑meter zone has been set up to connect premium export products with domestic sales channels, guiding foreign‑trade enterprises to expand into the domestic market. Popular categories such as pet supplies and camping gear are strategically aligned with global consumption trends, helping businesses forge a new development paradigm of dual circulation.

Exhibition Review
The third phase of the 138th China Import and Export Fair concluded successfully in Guangzhou from October 31 to November 4, 2025. With the theme “A Better Life,” this phase spanned an exhibition area of 515,000 square meters, featuring approximately 25,000 booths and attracting over 12,000 participating enterprises. Among them, more than 2,900 were high-tech companies, specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative “Little Giant” firms, as well as manufacturing single-champion enterprises, underscoring the fair’s robust industrial aggregation effect.
Abundant Global Trade OutcomesAs the concluding segment of the 138th Canton Fair, the third phase, together with the overall event, set multiple new historical records. This edition welcomed over 310,000 overseas buyers from 223 countries and regions, a 7.5% increase compared to the previous session, with on-site export intent transactions totaling US$25.65 billion. Notably, buyers from Belt and Road partner countries numbered 214,000, up 9.4%, accounting for more than 60% of total export deals. Significant growth was also observed among buyers from the European Union, the Middle East, the United States, and Brazil, with increases of 32.7%, 13.9%, 14%, and 33.2%, respectively.
Smart Healthcare Makes Its DebutFor the first time, the third phase featured a dedicated “Smart Healthcare Zone,” which emerged as one of the fair’s standout highlights. The zone drew leading companies showcasing cutting-edge innovations such as medical robots, intelligent diagnostics, wearable devices, smart massage and physiotherapy systems, and health-monitoring technologies. A Hangzhou-based enterprise’s self-developed upper-limb rehabilitation assistive system attracted inquiries from over a thousand customers within two days, while a Shanghai firm unveiled an AI-powered hearing aid equipped with proprietary “China Chip” technology, immediately generating multiple collaboration intentions. Meanwhile, Zhongshan’s Xiaoshentong Innovation Technology presented an “AI+All-Terrain” embodied wheelchair robot that not only smoothly navigates stairs but also autonomously avoids obstacles, demonstrating China’s innovation prowess and international competitiveness in the smart healthcare sector.
Concentrated Achievements in Digital Intelligence and Green TechnologiesIn this phase, products featuring new innovations, green attributes, and independent intellectual property rights each accounted for over 20% of the exhibits. In terms of intelligence, customizable training programs generated by thought‑capable treadmills and precision‑operated surgical robots became particular focal points. On the green front, biobased toys that are fully degradable, recycled ski suits that are both environmentally friendly and durable, and fluorine‑free processes reducing carbon emissions by 40% were prominently displayed. A Xuzhou enterprise introduced an intelligent production line enabling full traceability throughout the textile‑fabric supply chain, earning prestigious international green certifications and securing a million‑dollar order on the spot from a German client. Additionally, a Shandong company launched latex‑like gloves that significantly reduce the need to harvest natural rubber trees, backed by proprietary synthesis technology ensuring stable supply.
Innovation and Creativity Empower a Better LifeA Guangzhou‑based firm developed an intelligent cycling case that is lightweight yet capable of supporting 150 kilograms and offering up to 15 hours of battery life, quickly becoming a viral hit. A Shandong sports‑equipment manufacturer introduced “Breathable Grass,” which releases negative ions through friction during exercise, creating a forest‑level healthy environment. Popular themes such as pet supplies, camping and leisure, and emerging silver‑age consumption trends precisely addressed global upgrading consumer preferences. The Anshan Xiliu apparel industry cluster showcased graphene‑semiconductor heated winter garments, effectively solving the challenge of staying warm in extreme cold; buyers from Northern Europe, North America, and Russia rushed to place orders. Meanwhile, the Nantai luggage and bag cluster hosted over 500 visits from clients representing Germany, Iran, Brazil, Italy, and other countries, resulting in more than 130 preliminary orders.
Buyer Attendance Data and Innovative ServicesThis phase’s buyer attendance data has been incorporated into the overall statistics: over 310,000 overseas buyers from 223 countries and regions attended, marking a 7.5% increase compared to the previous session. The Canton Fair further enhanced its service experience through innovative upgrades, including the first-ever adoption of QR‑code credentials—enabling rapid issuance in just 30 seconds, six times faster than before—and the introduction of booth‑level navigation, along with upgraded AI‑driven exhibition‑exploration tools and intelligent wayfinding systems, collectively drawing 477,000 user engagements. Additionally, the fair established a 3,000‑square‑meter zone dedicated to connecting premium foreign‑trade products with domestic market demand, attracting 143 leading domestic buyers and over 500 exhibiting enterprises to participate in matchmaking activities. The 139th China Import and Export Fair is scheduled to take place from April 15 to May 5, 2026.
