Profile

Since its inception in 2002, the Shanghai International Musical Instrument Exhibition (Music China) has become one of the world’s most influential music instrument trade shows. It brings together renowned domestic and international brands and exhibitors, providing an excellent platform for Chinese musical instruments to reach the global market and for international peers to gain insight into China’s vibrant music industry.

As a key global business platform for the musical instrument industry, this year’s event will gather premium brands, cutting-edge products, and industry resources from around the world, offering a comprehensive showcase of musical instruments, music technology, audio‑video equipment, music education, and related ancillary products. It will serve as an international hub integrating new product launches, business procurement, and trend discussions.

Following its debut last year, the highly anticipated “Tomorrow’s Music” thematic zone—dedicated to music technology and audio‑video innovations—will return once again. This zone will spotlight AI‑driven music creation, smart musical instruments, digital music production, audio‑video systems, MIDI technologies, professional recording equipment, and intelligent music education solutions, among others.

Complementing these offerings, the concurrently organized “Music X Future Pavilion” will feature three interactive sections—Music X Lab, MIDI Zone, and X Stage—showcasing the latest advancements in music technology and exploring the potential for cross‑industry synergies between music and sectors such as film and television, gaming, live streaming, and automotive smart cockpits.

Each year, the Shanghai International Musical Instrument Exhibition (Music China) draws industry professionals—including manufacturers, brand owners, distributors, educational institutions, music training providers, and specialized buyers—to gather on-site. Through product exhibitions, business negotiations, industry forums, and other formats, it effectively fosters collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Building on its strengths as an international platform, the Shanghai International Musical Instrument Exhibition (Music China) will continue to aggregate high‑quality global resources, driving deep integration between the music industry and fields such as technology, education, health, and cultural tourism, thereby creating even more opportunities for cross‑sector partnerships.

Through initiatives such as the “Shanghai International Music Consumption Festival × New Product Launch Season,” in collaboration with venues like the Shanghai Grand Theatre and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music Opera House, the exhibition offers combined ticket packages that stimulate a virtuous cycle of “launch equals consumption, consumption fuels launch,” helping companies build a robust dual‑circulation development model.
