Exhibition Introduction
The Value of Participating in the Ningbo Cross-border E-commerce Expo
- The Ningbo Cross-border E-commerce Expo is one of the largest and most influential high-end professional exhibitions in East China, and the only domestic expo centered on the “home furnishings” category. It is widely recognized within the industry as “East China’s premier cross-border trade show.” Initiated by the Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Ningbo Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Ningbo Culture, Tourism & Exhibition Group, the expo has been held four times since its inception in 2021, witnessing the transformation of cross-border e‑commerce from a “new form of foreign trade” into a “main driver of trade growth.”
- The core value of participation lies in its robust supply-chain integration capabilities and abundant source‑factory resources. At the 2025 expo, 2,500 high-quality foreign-trade manufacturers gathered, with factory booths accounting for nearly 80% of the total. These exhibitors covered five core categories—home furnishings, pet products & baby items, electronics & lighting, hardware tools & automotive supplies, and daily necessities & gifts—forming a supply-chain matrix characterized by comprehensive offerings for large items and refined selections for smaller ones. Beyond local Ningbo enterprises, clusters of high‑quality factories from Suzhou, Linhai, Jiaxing, Anji, Ninghai, and other regional industrial hubs also participated, providing buyers with a one‑stop “direct sourcing” destination. Additionally, the expo introduced a dedicated overseas factory zone, where a Malaysian furniture manufacturing delegation showcased its products, offering sellers a cross-border supply chain that combines local design with source‑level production, thus advancing the transition from “unidirectional export” to “two-way connectivity.”
- The expo has established a diversified procurement ecosystem spanning the globe, precisely connecting core buyer resources both domestically and internationally. Through accumulated experience, the expo has developed a procurement resource network encompassing “cross-border product selection + foreign‑trade purchasing + joint overseas procurement + overseas Chinese community co‑procurement + direct platform sourcing + online inquiries.” At the 2025 expo, leading cross-border e‑commerce sellers such as Savvy Era, Aoji, Anker Innovations, Zhiou, and Zi Buyu, along with prominent foreign‑trade groups like Kaiyue Group, Zhongji Group, and Deli Group, attended to make purchases. The scale of international buyer delegations expanded markedly, with Vietnamese, Korean, Malaysian, Middle Eastern, and African contingents arriving on site; among them, Vietnam’s 100‑member purchasing team became the largest international group. Furthermore, buyers from over 30 countries and regions—including the United States, Japan, Russia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Mexico, and Brazil—participated onsite.
- The expo brings together mainstream global cross-border e‑commerce platforms and a full‑chain service ecosystem, providing enterprises with one‑stop empowerment for going global. At the 2025 expo, 36 major cross-border e‑commerce platforms were represented, covering markets across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Russia. Established platforms such as Amazon Global Selling, eBay, Walmart, and Wayfair offered on‑site consultation and matchmaking services; while Dajian Cloud Warehouse, TikTok Shop, and Made-in-China.com hosted summit forums; emerging platforms like Chewy, HepsiGlobal, and Wildberries made their collective debut, with Vente-unique—the first-ever appearance in China—highlighting its unique focus on home goods and outdoor sports.
- For Chinese enterprises, this expo serves as a strategic gateway for expanding into global markets, connecting with international resources, and transitioning from contract manufacturing to brand building. Leveraging the advantages of Ningbo Port, the expo has become an important window for observing the evolution of China’s cross-border e‑commerce industry. Exhibiting companies can use this platform to connect with high‑quality global procurement resources and seize early opportunities in the development of cross-border e‑commerce.
