Canton International Food & Beverage Exhibition (Guangzhou)Profile
SIAL International Food & Beverage Exhibition (Guangzhou) is co-organized by Groupe GL events, one of the world’s top five and France’s largest exhibition group, and Beijing Aibo SIAL Exhibition Co., Ltd. Leveraging the SIAL Network—the world’s largest food and beverage exhibition series—and SIAL Shanghai, one of the three premier global food exhibitions under the SIAL umbrella, the event embraces the vision of “SIAL: Connecting Global Exhibitions with World-Class Destinations.” It aims to establish a comprehensive, industry‑wide platform that sets the pace for international food and beverage trends, while helping domestic and international companies use Shenzhen as a strategic hub to tap into the Greater Bay Area and global markets.
SIAL entered China in 2000. In recent years, SIAL has progressively adopted a dual‑city strategy, spanning the entire global food and beverage value chain. The decision to launch in Guangzhou represents a strategic extension and further consolidation of SIAL’s longstanding presence and resources within the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.
As a global gateway and a key innovation engine of the Greater Bay Area, Guangzhou boasts exceptional competitiveness, while Shenzhen, positioned at the economic, transportation, and trade nexus of South China, brings unparalleled strength and confidence to hosting such an event. With the nation’s most concentrated cluster of food wholesale markets and a robust base of professional buyers, Guangzhou serves as a strategic pivot for brands seeking to expand overseas or penetrate lower‑tier markets across South China, Central China, and beyond.
SIAL will continue to employ its globally unified Match Me business‑matching system, buyer database, and brand‑promotion network, empowering food and beverage companies worldwide to deepen their engagement in the Greater Bay Area market. Moreover, the Guangzhou edition of SIAL International Food & Beverage Exhibition is set to break new records in both exhibition space and the number of participating brands.
Guangzhou is not only China’s southern gateway to the world but also a pivotal hub for global food trade. Building on the successful legacy of the first three SIAL SIAL events held in Shenzhen and leveraging the region’s rich resources, we are confident that SIAL International Food & Beverage Exhibition (Guangzhou) 2026 will deliver an even higher‑quality experience for exhibitors and buyers, yielding richer commercial outcomes.

The Exhibition Value of SIAL China Guangzhou
- A Strategic Gateway for South China’s Food and Beverage Trade: Held in Guangzhou, the core hub of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, the show leverages its unique location—connecting China’s densest cluster of food wholesale markets with Southeast Asia’s 600-million‑person consumer market—to help companies navigate the “dual circulation” trade pathway. With an anticipated 60,000 m² exhibition space, the event is expected to bring together over 1,500 exhibitors and more than 65,000 industry professionals, serving as a strategic platform that deepens penetration in South China while reaching global audiences.
- An Efficient and Pragmatic Platform for Commercial Transformation: Backed by the “Match Me” supply‑demand matchmaking system, which has facilitated hundreds of thousands of business meetings, the show delivers precise buyer‑exhibitor pairings. In international trade, Yantai Tianlu Food secured its first overseas order at the event, successfully opening up European and American markets; Guangdong Haiyi Health engaged over 200 clients in a single session, closing nearly RMB 300 million in deals. On the domestic front, Zhengzhou Yingweida Trading attracted more than 300 highly qualified leads on the very first day. Seasonal visits from prominent Southeast Asian buyers, such as Thailand’s CP ALL Group, provide Chinese enterprises with a direct gateway to overseas markets.
- A Premier Launchpad for Innovative Products Across All Categories: The exhibition features 14 thematic zones covering imported foods, snack foods, health‑focused products, dairy items, grain and oil products, seasonings, ready‑to‑eat meals, and more, with thousands of new product launches anticipated. As a global debut platform for cutting‑edge food and beverage innovations, SIAL has previously helped iconic products like Thai coconut water and South African ice plant gain traction in the Chinese market, elevating “Made in China” offerings to the status of globally recognized brands.
- Global Resources and Brand Exposure to Drive Growth: Supported by France’s Groupe GL events, which boasts nearly 60 years of experience, the show taps into SIAL’s worldwide network—including Paris, Montreal, Shanghai, and other key locations—to deliver “global trade right at your doorstep.” By integrating hundreds of domestic and international media outlets, such as Xinhua Net, People’s Daily Online, and PR Newswire, and leveraging a 360° omnichannel marketing matrix, the event helps exhibitors achieve end‑to‑end coverage—from brand visibility to lead generation and conversion.
- Innovative Competitions Setting Industry Trends: Concurrently held are the SIAL Innovation Awards, the SIAL Snack Festival, the SIAL Tea Mixology Competition, and other related events, creating fresh consumption scenarios, driving emerging trends in food and beverage, and enabling exhibitors to connect with vast domestic and international business opportunities, ensuring sustained growth and broader market reach.

Exhibition Review
From September 1 to 3, 2025, SIAL China International Food Exhibition (Shenzhen) successfully concluded at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center in Futian. With the theme “Global Exhibitions Engage with Global Landmarks,” this edition brought together exhibitors from 50 countries and regions worldwide, featuring over 1,100 exhibitors who showcased more than 100,000 product varieties. Over the three-day event, a total of 56,533 industry professionals attended, and through the Match Me supply‑demand matchmaking service, 4,526 business meetings were arranged, resulting in intended transaction values approaching nearly RMB 10 billion—underscoring its pivotal role as a key global platform for food and beverage trade.
The exhibition drew leading domestic players such as Ole’, Aeon, , and Dingdong Maicai, alongside major international buyers including CPF Group, AEON Group, and others from Canada, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, and beyond, creating a vibrant on‑site procurement atmosphere. The Gold Award of the 24th SIAL Innovation Competition was awarded to Hunan Cube Food’s “Paper Salad Crisps,” a product that transforms salads into convenient, crispy snacks, exemplifying the industry trend toward combining health with fun. Concurrent events, including the SIAL Tea Mixologist Competition and the SIAL CUP Barista All‑Round Contest, further enlivened the show.
As its final appearance deeply rooted in the Greater Bay Area, this Shenzhen edition successfully supported Chinese brands—such as Jilin mushrooms, Hubei hot dry noodles, and Hunan specialty agricultural products—in expanding into the region while also accelerating the entry of international offerings like Malaysian durian crisps and Vietnamese vegetable rice paper into the Chinese market, thus fulfilling its historic mission. According to official plans, starting in 2026, the exhibition will officially relocate to Guangzhou, taking place from September 3 to 5 at the Poly World Trade Center Expo, where it will continue its global journey in the food and beverage trade within Southern China.
