China International Folding Carton Exhibition

The China International Folding Carton Exhibition 2025 (Sino Folding Carton 2025) was successfully held from April 8 to 10, 2025, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. As a core component of WEPACK, the World Packaging Industry Expo, this edition was co-located with seven thematic exhibitions—Corrugated Board, Packaging Containers, Digital Printing, Paper, New Label Technology, and Plant Fiber & Food Packaging Manufacturing—creating a super ecosystem that spans the entire packaging value chain.

In terms of scale, the 2025 WEPACK World Packaging Industry Expo covered a total exhibition area of 120,000 square meters, utilizing ten halls (W1–W5 and N1–N5), bringing together over 1,500 globally renowned exhibitors. Over the three-day event, it attracted a cumulative total of 138,614 professional visitors from more than 110 countries and regions, representing a 51.37% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Among them, overseas visitors numbered 18,806, up 189.19% year-on-year.As one of the core sub-exhibitions, the China International Folding Carton Exhibition was hosted in Halls W3–W4, showcasing end-of-line processing equipment for folding cartons, rigid box manufacturing machinery, food paper container production lines, bag-making machines, consumables, and related accessories—covering the full spectrum of the industry. Specialized zones were also established, including a high-value-added equipment area and an eco-friendly, carbon-neutral printing and packaging zone.

A rich array of concurrent events created a premier platform for industry dialogue and business matchmaking. During the show, key forums such as the “BRICS Paper Packaging Industry Development Overseas Summit” and the “Belt and Road Paper Packaging Industry Summit” brought together global experts and scholars to discuss sustainable development and intelligent lean manufacturing. In addition, three specialized brand‑expansion forums were held—“Winning in Vietnam: Chinese Packaging Enterprises Investing in Vietnam,” “From Domestic Trade to Global Market Breakthroughs: A Practical Forum,” and “Chinese Packaging Enterprises Going Global: Brand Building”—offering in-depth insights into market trends, practical implementation strategies, and resource‑matching opportunities. More than 20 other conferences and seminars were also staged, including the Packaging Black Tech Launch, the China Alcohol Packaging Innovation Forum, the Packaging Design and Commercial Value Empowerment Summit, the Circular Economy‑Driven Foodservice Supply Chain Packaging Reform Forum, the EU PPWR Response Business Roundtable, the China Electronics Industry Packaging Innovation Forum, the Foodservice Packaging Going Global Forum, and the Household Cleaning Products Innovation Conference.

Special exhibition zones and precision‑matching activities emerged as major highlights. The show featured two popular photo‑ops—the “World Packaging Awards Showcase & World Stars” exhibit and the “Packaging Lightweighting Innovation Corridor”—which wove together technology, design, and sustainability to paint a vision of the future of the packaging industry. Additionally, the “Golden Bridge” buyer‑seller matchmaking initiative efficiently connected exhibiting companies with TAP audiences possessing clear purchasing needs, facilitating targeted one‑on‑one business discussions. The inaugural “Packaging Consultation Room” became a new hub for technical exchanges, where expert teams specializing in packaging design, glass packaging, metal packaging, plastic packaging, and paper packaging provided customized solutions to participating enterprises, serving over a hundred companies. More than 30 overseas industry association procurement delegations arrived on site with precise sourcing lists, covering critical sectors such as food and beverage, daily chemicals and cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals and healthcare.

A strong contingent of professional visitors and a record level of international participation. The exhibition drew professional buyers from over 110 countries and regions, with 18,806 overseas attendees—an 189.19% increase compared to 2023. Representatives from Russia’s CPM Paper Group engaged in multiple rounds of business talks with Chinese partners during the event and granted interviews to local national television stations. Exhibiting companies widely reported high-quality professional audiences, well-defined purchasing intentions, and significant on-site business outcomes, securing premium orders through the exhibition platform and fully demonstrating the strength of Made in China. Six enterprises—including Fuan Town’s Gengchi Machinery, Dingxing Machinery, and Jinghong Machinery—closed 28 orders on-site, totaling RMB 11.2 million in transaction value.

Outstanding results and enthusiastic industry response. Exhibiting companies emphasized that the China International Folding Carton Exhibition is not only an excellent platform for brand exposure and business matching but also a pivotal hub for understanding global folding carton trends and exploring pathways toward intelligent manufacturing and green transformation. Attendees noted that, as carbon neutrality goals continue to advance, the packaging industry is entering a critical phase of value reconfiguration, with the exhibition serving as a key driver of industrial upgrading and empowering enterprises to seize trillion‑yuan market opportunities in the packaging sector.
