Battery Materials and Components Exhibition Area: Lithium‑battery materials include cathode materials, anode materials, electrolytes and additives, conductive materials, battery separators, aluminum‑plastic films, protective films, copper foil, aluminum foil, tapes, sealants, thermal‑insulating and electrical‑insulating materials, as well as material‑processing equipment and analytical testing instruments. Also showcased are graphene, nanomaterials, graphene preparation technologies and related equipment and instruments. Furthermore, battery casings, tabs, caps, brackets, connectors, nickel straps, wire harnesses, and associated component‑manufacturing machinery.

Battery Equipment Exhibition Area: Equipment for lithium‑battery manufacturing processes—including grinding, mixing, coating, calendering, slitting, sheet‑forming, winding, assembly, baking, cell‑insertion, dehumidification, electrolyte injection, sealing, welding, and formation—as well as intelligent modular production lines, PACK sorting, spot‑welding, film‑wrapping, component‑matching, final assembly, testing, and packaging systems. Also included are equipment for lead‑acid battery production and processing, environmental‑protection solutions, and warehousing and logistics systems.

Battery Recycling and Reuse Exhibition Area: Technologies for the collection, storage, and transportation of end‑of‑life batteries; recycling and dismantling technologies coupled with environmentally friendly equipment; second‑life applications for retired power batteries; and regeneration and reuse of spent batteries.

Solid‑State Battery Exhibition Area: All‑solid‑state and hybrid solid‑liquid electrolyte lithium‑ion power batteries, energy‑storage batteries, and flexible batteries; materials and technologies related to solid electrolytes, solid‑state battery cathode and anode materials, and solid electrolyte separators; as well as production and testing equipment for solid‑state batteries.

Supercapacitor Industry Exhibition Area: Various stacked‑plate and hybrid‑type supercapacitors for energy storage, automotive, electronics, and new‑energy applications; manufacturing equipment, testing and experimental instruments, and in‑service monitoring and maintenance tools; plus a full range of supercapacitor materials and components—including graphene, activated carbon, separators, current collectors, and more.

Hydrogen Energy and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Industry Exhibition Area: Technologies and equipment for hydrogen production, storage, and safety inspection; hydrogen‑refueling station infrastructure; various fuel cells and system applications, including fuel‑cell vehicles; fuel‑cell materials, ancillary devices and systems, as well as production and processing equipment, testing, and analytical technologies and instruments.

The 2025 World Battery & Energy Storage Industry Expo and the 10th Asia-Pacific Battery Exhibition (WBE2025) successfully concluded from August 8 to 10 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou.

This year’s exhibition spanned a total area of 180,000 square meters across 13 pavilions, bringing together more than 2,000 exhibitors from around the globe. It was further integrated with parallel exhibitions covering hydrogen energy, photovoltaics, power supplies, and clean technologies, forming a comprehensive, closed-loop industrial ecosystem that seamlessly links batteries, energy storage, hydrogen, photovoltaics, and clean energy. Over the three-day event, the expo attracted 200,000 professional visitors, including 13,892 international buyers from over 100 countries and regions—marking record highs in both scale and influence.

At the show, multiple technological pathways—including lithium-ion, lead-acid, sodium-ion, solid-state, and hydrogen batteries—advanced in parallel, while innovative application scenarios such as “integrated solar-storage-charging systems,” “virtual power plants,” and “AI-powered battery management systems” captured widespread attention. Many companies focused on enhancing battery safety, stability, and service life, unveiling a range of safe, user-friendly, and cost-effective innovations. Specialized products like low-temperature‑resistant batteries also made their debut, addressing the needs of demanding environments. Meanwhile, the “smartification” of energy storage systems emerged as another major highlight, with industrial and commercial storage solutions, integrated solar‑storage‑charging systems, smart home‑based storage devices, and portable energy storage units drawing significant industry interest.

This edition of the expo exhibited an exceptionally high degree of internationalization. Guided by the core strategy of “bringing in premium overseas buyers while helping outstanding Chinese enterprises expand globally,” the event welcomed purchasers from over 100 countries and regions, including Saudi Arabia, Germany, Australia, Malaysia, and many others. A Saudi buyer remarked on-site: “We need reliable energy storage solutions to address the issue of curtailed solar power in desert areas. Chinese products not only deliver stable performance but also offer response times far exceeding our expectations.” Through dedicated matchmaking sessions and other specialized events, the expo served as a vital bridge, enabling exhibitors to connect directly with international markets and tap into global demand.

The expo featured numerous high-profile concurrent events. On August 9, the 2025 World Battery Night and the sixth anniversary celebration of the Guangdong Battery Industry Association were held, during which the “2025 World Battery & Energy Storage Industry Expo Product Gold Award” was presented. Additionally, the 2025 China Battery Industry (Guangzhou) Summit Forum, the Fifth Power Battery Digital Intelligence Summit, and the Third International Trade Forum on Batteries and Energy Storage convened over 500 domestic and international guests to delve into cutting-edge topics such as solid-state batteries, sodium-ion batteries, and digital intelligence. International buyers also unveiled procurement requirements on-site and signed cooperation memoranda. Representatives from leading companies—including Dianjiangjun, Penghui Energy, and Mengguli—and industry experts delivered insightful presentations at these forums.
