Wuzhen Summit of the World Internet Conference

From November 6 to 9, 2025, the Wuzhen Summit of the World Internet Conference was successfully held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province. This year’s summit was themed “Building an Open, Cooperative, Secure, and Inclusive Digital Future—Working Together to Construct a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace,” coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the proposal to build such a community. It stood as the annual highlight event in the digital domain.

In terms of scale, this summit attracted over 1,600 on-site delegates from more than 130 countries and regions worldwide, marking the highest number of participating nations, the largest exhibiting companies, and the most diverse program content in its history. As a core component of the summit, the “Light of the Internet” Expo brought together 670 enterprises and institutions globally, featuring seven thematic exhibition zones that showcased over a thousand cutting-edge technological products. Daily visitor numbers exceeded 17,000, setting a new record. For the first time, the expo introduced robotic guides and explanations, and also deployed humanoid robots during the opening ceremony, creating an immersive AI-driven “futuristic” exhibition experience.

This year’s summit featured numerous highlights, with the “Six Little Dragons” engaging in their first-ever joint dialogue, becoming the central attraction. Wang Xingxing, founder of Unitree Robotics; Han Bicheng, founder of BrainCo; Huang Xiaohuang, chairman of Qunhe Technology; Zhu Qiuguo, founder of Cloudthink; Feng Ji, founder of Game Science; and Chen Deli, senior researcher at DeepSeek—these executives from the “Hangzhou Six Little Dragons”—took to the stage publicly for the first time, engaging in an in-depth discussion on前沿 topics such as embodied intelligence, general artificial intelligence, and brain-computer interfaces. Wang Xingxing pointed out that the robotics field faces dual challenges—model architecture and data scale—and emphasized that DeepSeek’s vision of general AI ultimately converges with the ultimate goal of embodied intelligence. Meanwhile, Chen Deli noted that the AI revolution is still in its first half, underscoring the need to equip AI systems with the capacity for continuous learning and iterative improvement in real-world settings.

Leading Technology Awards and groundbreaking achievements were unveiled en masse. Seventeen internationally representative projects received the 2025 World Internet Conference Leading Technology Award, spanning frontier areas such as large-scale models, intelligent networking, embodied intelligence, and quantum computing. Award-winning projects—including Nokia’s generative agent simulation platform for embodied intelligence and State Grid’s AI-powered inspection robot—represent the highest global standards in internet technology. At the expo, more than 40 latest large-scale models, over 30 intelligent agents, and more than 20 embodied intelligence robots made their debut, while over 100 multi-domain interactive exhibits offered visitors tangible, accessible, and engaging exhibition experiences.

A rich array of concurrent events created a high-end platform for industry exchange. The summit hosted 24 parallel forums, including the inaugural Forum on Digital Preservation and Inheritance of Cultural Heritage. The “Wenlan Chongguang” project utilized MR mixed reality technology to bring the “Complete Library of the Four Treasuries” vividly to life. Meanwhile, the “Light and Shadow of Chinese Painting” cultural display project integrated 40 ancient Chinese paintings into an immersive experiential space, becoming one of the most frequently discussed topics. Additionally, Zhejiang Conservatory of Music’s AI-based body recognition technology enabled participants to virtually hold instruments depicted in Dunhuang cave murals, allowing both domestic and international guests to engage in an immersive “performance” of traditional Chinese instruments.

A series of authoritative outcome reports were released, contributing Chinese wisdom to global internet development. During the summit, key publications were issued, including “Ten-Year Review and Outlook on Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace,” “China Internet Development Report 2025,” “World Internet Development Report 2025,” “A Global Framework for AI Safety and Governance for Human Well-being,” “Global AI Standards Development Report,” and “Promoting Global Digital Infrastructure and Bridging the Digital Divide.” The Digital Economy Industry Cooperation Conference secured over 100 signed cooperation projects, with total contract values exceeding RMB 100 billion for three consecutive years. Concurrently, the “Light of the Internet” Expo organized talent recruitment initiatives, with more than 1,100 enterprises posting over 10,000 job openings.

Attendees agreed that the World Internet Conference is not only a premier platform for brand showcasing and intellectual discourse but also a critical hub for gaining insights into global digital trends and exploring pathways toward AI governance and inclusive development. The summit witnessed China’s transformation from a “major internet nation” to a “strong internet nation,” signaling that China will continue to prioritize open cooperation in the internet sector as a long-term national policy, unwavering despite temporary fluctuations. From “the Light of Information” to “the Light of the Future,” the Wuzhen Summit, with its unique inclusiveness and wisdom, is refining cutting-edge technological issues into a “Chinese solution” shared globally.
