The Beijing World Robot Expo (World Robot Conference, abbreviated as WRC), is held concurrently with the World Robot Conference (WRC).Co-hosted by the China Institute of Electronics and the World Robot Collaboration Organization, the event features an opening ceremony, a closing ceremony, forums, and related ancillary activities.
The Beijing World Robot Expoaligns its thematic focus more closely with emerging trends in robotics, offering an expanded showcase of humanoid robots and real-world application scenarios. The expo will highlight cutting-edge scientific and technological advances, fostering innovation and accelerating the practical deployment of robotic solutions. With an exhibition space of 52,000 square meters, the program emphasizes breakthroughs in key technologies, pioneering innovations, the expansion of robotic applications, and the debut of new products.
To date, nearly one hundred domestic and international companies—including Festo, SMC, and the National-Local Joint Center for Embodied Intelligence Innovation—have confirmed their participation. The event will bring together close to fifty leading manufacturers of humanoid robots, with over a hundred new models making their public debut during the exhibition. Exhibition Review
The 2025 World Robot Conference (WRC) successfully concluded from August 8 to 12 at the Beijing Etrong International Convention & Exhibition Center. With the theme “Making Robots Smarter, Enabling Embodied Intelligence,” the event featured three plenary forums and 31 concurrent sessions, bringing together 416 domestic and international experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and representatives of global organizations to share cutting-edge technologies, innovative products, and emerging applications. It stands as one of the most influential annual gatherings in the global robotics sector.
This year’s conference set a new record for scale, attracting 220 renowned domestic and international robotics companies, including 60 core component suppliers. A total of 1,569 products were showcased, with 123 new models unveiled. The number of humanoid robot manufacturers grew from 27 last year to 50. The conference also released several key research reports, such as “Trends in Embodied Intelligent Robotics 2025,” “Ten Promising Application Scenarios for Humanoid Robots,” and the “Robot Export Research Report.” In addition, six talent‑development initiatives were launched, including the “Embodied Intelligence Skills Training Program” and the “Embodied Intelligence Robotics Training Platform Development Plan,” securing a total of RMB 1.481 billion in funding.
Over 500 real-world application scenarios were set up on-site, shifting the focus of robot demonstrations from mere performance to practical utility. UBTECH’s Walker S2, the world’s first autonomous battery‑swapping humanoid robot, can complete an energy recharge in just three minutes, boasting 52 degrees of freedom and an industrial‑grade dexterous hand. Powered by its “Swarm Brain Network 2.0” system, it collaborated with wheeled robots and logistics vehicles to demonstrate end-to-end operations—from material receiving to intelligent sorting. Meanwhile, the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center unveiled its TianGong and TianYi Series 2.0 product lineup; the TianGong 2.0 even conducted a multi‑hour live walk on a treadmill and served as the opening ceremony host, executing complex human–robot interaction tasks. Companies such as Unitree Robotics, Zhongqing Robotics, ZhiJi Dynamics, Zhiyuan Research Institute, and Stardust Intelligence also presented groundbreaking innovations, including robotic combat, runway shows, traditional ethnic dance performances, exoskeleton‑assisted mobility, and coffee‑brewing demonstrations.
The inaugural “E-Town Robot Consumer Festival” emerged as a major highlight of this year’s conference, introducing two pioneering consumer‑oriented formats: an “Embodied Intelligence Robot 4S Store” and the robot-themed restaurant “Robot Flame Lab.” During the event, 19,000 robots and related products were sold, generating over RMB 200 million in revenue. International cooperation yielded significant results, with support from 28 global organizations, the participation of 32 leading international experts sharing前沿 insights, and attendance by 527 overseas guests, 1,731 foreign visitors, and 160 international competitors. Organizations such as the ASEAN Smart Industry Alliance and the Nepal Robotics Association announced specific demands for robotic applications, while Singapore’s Enterprise Singapore published 29 procurement and collaboration opportunities. Total on‑site attendance reached 271,000, with livestream viewership soaring to 52 million—up 62% from the previous edition—and short‑video platform topics amassing 450 million views.
