Hangzhou Cloud Town

The Cloud Town is a town planned by the Xihu District to create a 'cloud ecosystem' as its main industry, relying on two platforms: Alibaba Cloud Company and the Zhutan Technology Economic Park. It is one of the first 37 characteristic towns created in Zhejiang Province.

The town covers an area of 3.5 square kilometers. The Cloud Town adheres to the concept of integrating industry, culture, tourism, and community, and pursues the harmonious development of production, life, and ecology. With the 'government-led, leading enterprises, and entrepreneurs as the main body' model, it aims to develop cloud ecosystems, promote the intelligent hardware industry, build the first town for innovation and entrepreneurship, and drive the integrated development of software and hardware industries based on cloud computing. In 2015, the town achieved nearly 3 billion yuan in cloud-related revenue, completed 210 million yuan in fiscal total revenue, and attracted a cumulative total of 328 enterprises, among which 255 are cloud-related enterprises. The industry covers various fields such as cloud computing, big data, internet finance, and mobile internet. In 2017, the town was included in the list of the first batch of high-tech characteristic towns built in Zhejiang Province. On May 24, 2018, Cloud Town was selected as one of the top 50 most beautiful characteristic towns.
