Zhangjiang Science Conference Center

The Zhangjiang Science Hall is located in the heart of the Zhangjiang urban sub-center, with a total construction area of 115,000 square meters. It consists of a main conference hall of 6,000 square meters, a multi-functional hall of over 4,000 square meters, and 17 meeting exhibition halls of varying sizes (ranging from 100 to 900 square meters).

The curtain wall area of the Zhangjiang Science Conference Center is 52,000 square meters, with more than 10,000 types of ceramic plates totaling over 30,000 pieces, a total steel quantity of 19,000 tons, and a maximum structural span of 68.5 meters… Thirteen complex curtain systems each have their own construction codes and technical connotations.

The Zhangjiang Science Hall has "scientific genes" - it is located at the entrance of the Zhangjiang Science and Technology CBD, opposite the "Zhangjiang Pharmaceutical Valley" across the river to the north, close to the urban sub-center building group to the south, adjacent to the Zhangjiang Artificial Intelligence Island to the west, and connected to the under-construction "Zhangjiang Science Gateway" to the east. As the French architectural firm 2Portzamparc integrated natural elements into this building, sunlight, earth, air, water, and other elements flow inside and outside the building, making the Zhangjiang Science Hall a combination of natural beauty and technological power.

As a new landmark in the science city, bearing the mission of scientific and technological innovation exchange is the value of the Zhangjiang Science City. This large public building fills the gap of lacking multifunctional and large-scale public exchange spaces in the Zhangjiang Science City, further enhancing the innovative ecosystem factors in the science city. Currently, it has taken on the responsibility of hosting meetings and events such as the 2022 World Artificial Intelligence Conference's Pudong sub-site. Zhangjiang Group Party Secretary and Chairman Yuan Tao stated that the Zhangjiang Science Hall will continue to gather positive elements of scientific and technological innovation through forums, summits, exhibitions, art salons, and other activity forms, driving the "Tide of Innovation Rising in Zhangjiang", and promoting win-win cooperation among multiple entities.
