The Ningbo International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition (ChinaPlas) has received strong support in exhibition organization and promotion from the China Plastics Processing Industry Association, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Ningbo Plastics Industry Association, as well as industry associations across other regions. It has also earned recognition from numerous domestic and international brand-name enterprises, including Haitian, Haixing, Shuangma, Ramada, Kangrun, Huaming, Kolon, Liansu, Zhongya, Qiming, Bochuang, Walter, Shouyu, Runjia, Yide, and Jindi.
The Ningbo International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition (ChinaPlas) will continue to uphold the service philosophy of “high-quality service,” “more professional optimization,” and “multi‑faceted promotion.” Leveraging the robust industrial strengths of the East China region and hosting a series of expert seminars and new‑technology/product launch events during the show, it provides exhibitors and visitors with a comprehensive, professional, and reliable platform for benchmarking and business networking.
Ningbo is the economic center and chemical industry hub of the southern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, a major commercial and industrial city in East China, and one of Zhejiang Province’s key economic centers. Since the reform and opening-up, Ningbo’s economy has experienced sustained rapid growth, demonstrating remarkable dynamism and potential, and establishing itself as one of China’s most economically vibrant regions.
The plastics industry is a traditional strength of the Ningbo region and a priority sector receiving focused government support. In recent years, Ningbo’s plastics industry has expanded rapidly, with annual output and sales consistently ranking among the highest nationwide. The city has emerged as one of China’s largest plastics production bases and trade distribution centers, fostering a complete industrial chain that encompasses advanced polymer materials, plastic raw material production, product R&D and processing, as well as plastics machinery manufacturing and mold development. Key competitive advantages of Ningbo’s plastics industry include: a fully integrated industrial chain; a highly efficient supply‑chain network with pronounced cluster benefits; strong capabilities in technological innovation; and an active push toward internationalization, resulting in generally high‑quality products.
In terms of overall service standards, the Ningbo International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition (ChinaPlas) stands out as more specialized than many comparable industry events, injecting fresh momentum into the rapid development of the exhibition and convention sector in Zhejiang and throughout East China. At the same time, it showcases the latest research and technological advances in the plastics and rubber fields to a broad audience of distributors and industry professionals, while also offering valuable insights into future industry trends.

Exhibition Review
The 2025 Ningbo International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition (China Plastics Expo) was successfully held from May 22 to 24 at the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center. Co-organized by the Ningbo Plastics Industry Association and the Zhejiang Plastics Industry Association, the event was themed “Green Intelligent Manufacturing, Innovation-Driven,” and stood as the most significant annual platform for technological exchange and business matchmaking in the plastics and rubber sector across Eastern China. Concurrent with the exhibition, a series of supporting events were staged, including the China Plastics Industry Development Summit Forum, an Injection Molding Technology Seminar, and a Technical Exchange on Plastic Recycling and Reclamation.
With an exhibition area spanning 35,000 square meters, the show brought together over 600 exhibiting companies, occupying multiple halls within the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center. The exhibitor lineup featured leading domestic plastic machinery manufacturers such as Haitian Injection Molding Machine, Lijin Technology, Tairui Machinery, Yizhimi, and Zhenxiong Group, alongside prominent plastic modification specialists like Jinfafa Technology, Polytech, and Dawn Shares. International brands—including BASF, DuPont, and Covestro—also participated. Overseas buyers from more than 20 countries and regions, including Germany, Japan, the United States, South Korea, India, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia, attended to source products, while the three-day event welcomed over 40,000 professional visitors.
The injection molding machines and smart equipment zone emerged as the exhibition’s standout highlight. Haitian showcased its latest-generation “Changfeiya” all-electric injection molding machine and the energy-saving “Tianlong” series, both equipped with intelligent control systems and IoT modules enabling remote monitoring and data analytics. Lijin Technology presented its “FORZA” two-platen injection molding machine series, offering clamping forces ranging from 450 to 7,000 tons, ideal for producing large automotive components and appliance housings. Tairui Machinery displayed its “NEO” all-electric injection molding machine line, characterized by high precision, exceptional stability, and low energy consumption. Meanwhile, Yizhimi highlighted its “ReactPro” injection molding solution, integrating molding with in-mold decoration and in-mold assembly processes. Several companies noted that, driven by rising demands for product accuracy and energy efficiency across downstream industries, market demand for all-electric and intelligent injection molding machines continues to grow.
The plastic raw materials and modification zone also drew strong interest. Jinfafa Technology unveiled its “Biodegradable Plastics” and “High-Performance Engineering Plastics” lines, widely used in electronics, automotive, medical devices, and other sectors. Polytech exhibited its “Long-Glass-Fiber-Reinforced PP” and “Modified PA” products, already deployed in mass production for new-energy vehicle components. Dawn Shares introduced its “Thermoplastic Elastomers” and “Meltblown Materials” lines. International giants such as BASF, DuPont, and Covestro also showcased their latest advancements in engineering plastics and specialty materials. Many buyers emphasized that high performance, lightweight design, and environmental sustainability are the key trends shaping the evolution of plastic raw materials.
The plastic recycling and reclamation zone garnered significant attention. With the nation’s commitment to achieving “dual carbon” goals and increasingly stringent environmental policies, recycled plastics and the circular economy have become central industry topics. Evien demonstrated its “High-Efficiency Plastic Recycling and Cleaning Line,” capable of processing waste PET bottles and films into high-quality recycled resins. Zhejiang Baolüte presented its “PET Bottle-to-Bottle” recycling technology, enabling the production of food-grade rPET. Multiple companies reported rapid growth in demand for recycled plastics, particularly amid the European Union’s escalating requirements for the proportion of recycled content in finished products, which is spurring advances in related technologies and equipment.
The China Plastics Industry Development Summit Forum brought together industry leaders. Under the theme “Green Transformation, Innovative Development,” the forum featured keynote speeches by the President of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association, the President of the Ningbo Plastics Industry Association, the Chief Engineer of Haitian Injection Molding Machine, and the Chief Scientist of Jinfafa Technology, among others. Discussions delved into critical issues such as “Pathways to Green Manufacturing in the Plastics Industry,” “Intelligent Upgrades in Injection Molding Technology,” and “Prospects for Biodegradable Materials.” Experts underscored that China’s plastics industry is transitioning from “scale expansion” to “quality enhancement,” with technological innovation and green development serving as pivotal drivers of corporate transformation.
As the plastics industry accelerates its shift toward intelligence, green practices, and high-end solutions, technological innovation and sustainable development will remain decisive factors for corporate success. As the most influential specialized plastics and rubber exhibition in Eastern China, the China Plastics Expo has established itself as a strategic platform for companies to unveil new products, connect with customers, and gain insights into emerging trends.
