China Plastics and Rubber Exhibition (Chinaplas)Profile

Founded in 1983, CHINAPLAS is a globally acclaimed annual event in the rubber and plastics industry—the CHINAPLAS International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber. Bringing together innovative solutions and cutting-edge industry insights, it serves as a “golden key” for sparking creativity and uncovering emerging business opportunities, while also functioning as a vital hub for trade procurement, technological innovation, and knowledge exchange.

The exhibition has reached new heights in scale, with a total display area exceeding 390,000 square meters, spanning 16 halls and fully open to visitors. It has attracted more than 5,000 high-quality exhibitors from both domestic and international markets, representing an 11% increase compared to the 2024 Shanghai show, thereby underscoring the sector’s robust resilience and dynamic growth.

As a world-leading event in the plastics and rubber industries, CHINAPLAS aligns closely with the theme “Transformation·Collaboration·Co-creating Sustainability,” focusing on four core pillars: the circular economy, digitalization, advanced materials, and “High-end Technology Made in China.” The show showcases global innovations in smart technologies, green solutions, and frontier research, injecting certainty into an uncertain global market and guiding the plastics and rubber industry toward high-quality development.

Exhibition quality has risen in tandem, featuring leading enterprises from the Global Fortune 500 and China’s Top 500, highlighting their benchmark-setting influence. At the same time, over 1,000 “specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative” companies—nearly 200 of which are national-level “Little Giant” enterprises—are prominently represented, fully demonstrating their creative vitality. This marks a record-breaking concentration of such specialized firms at the event, further underscoring the formidable strength of “High-end Technology Made in China.”

Under the watchful eyes of the global community, CHINAPLAS International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber warmly invites colleagues from across the rubber and plastics sectors to join this grand celebration of technology and innovation!

Five Key Reasons to Exhibit at the Shanghai International Rubber & Plastics Exhibition

  • A Global Flagship Platform for the Rubber and Plastics Industry: As Asia’s largest rubber and plastics trade show, it is recognized alongside Germany’s K Show and the U.S. NPE as one of the world’s three premier industrial exhibitions in this sector. With nearly four decades of development, alternating annually between Shenzhen and biennially in Shanghai, it serves as a high‑tech platform for unveiling innovations and fostering industry-wide dialogue, widely regarded by professionals as both a “barometer” and a “leading indicator.”
  • End-to-End Coverage Across the Entire Value Chain: The exhibition features a comprehensive array of offerings spanning machinery, chemical raw materials, automation technologies, molds and processing equipment, semi‑finished products, and more—covering every segment of the rubber and plastics value chain. From foundational material R&D to advanced manufacturing systems, from core components to end‑use applications, it facilitates efficient connections between upstream and downstream players, precisely aligning with the procurement needs of downstream sectors such as automotive, electronics and electricals, packaging, medical and healthcare, building materials, and infrastructure.
  • A Hub for Global Resource Networking: Deeply rooted in the Chinese rubber and plastics market, serving Asia while reaching out globally, the event attracts professional visitors from numerous countries and regions, with a consistently high proportion of international attendees. International chemical giants and leading domestic enterprises compete on the same stage, creating an effective bridge for companies to access global resources and expand into international markets.
  • A Premier Launchpad for Innovative Breakthroughs: As a key global showcase for rubber and plastics technologies, the exhibition highlights numerous world‑ and Asia‑first technological advances, cutting‑edge machinery, and groundbreaking innovations from raw material suppliers. Whether it’s state‑of‑the‑art injection molding equipment, AI‑powered visual inspection systems, bio‑based materials, or high‑performance flame‑retardant compounds, each breakthrough redefines industry standards. Exhibitors can leverage this platform to demonstrate their innovative capabilities to a global audience and obtain valuable market feedback.
  • Comprehensive Supporting Programs for Strategic Growth: Concurrent events include scientific forums, technical symposiums, application‑focused workshops, and the “Plastics Talk” marketplace, covering the full spectrum from fundamental research to commercial implementation. Top scientists unveil next‑generation material breakthroughs, while industry experts share real‑world case studies. With a focus on hot topics such as green intelligent manufacturing, transformative trends in the sports industry, circular economy visualization, and recyclable packaging technologies, the program provides holistic guidance—from technological innovation to practical business applications.
  • A Thriving Marketplace with Tangible Results: The exhibition generates a vibrant trading atmosphere, with many exhibitors securing strategic partnerships and signing substantial orders with domestic and international buyers, underscoring its strong commercial conversion potential. Overseas buyer delegations are particularly impressed by advanced technologies and sustainable solutions, and exhibitors commonly report significant gains in brand visibility, opportunities for strategic collaborations, and expanded global market shares.
