Spring Canton Fair, Phase ICanton Fair

The Spring Session of the Canton Fair was first held in the spring of 1957 and is convened twice annually, in spring and autumn, in Guangzhou. It is currently China’s longest-running, highest‑level, largest‑scale, most comprehensive international trade event, offering the broadest range of products, attracting the greatest number of buyers, and delivering the best transaction outcomes. The fair is jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, the China Foreign Trade Center, import‑export chambers of commerce and associations, and trade delegations. The Canton Fair comprises 48 trade delegations, with tens of thousands of reputable and well‑capitalized enterprises participating, including foreign trade companies, manufacturing firms, research institutes, foreign‑invested or wholly foreign‑owned enterprises, and private businesses.

The Spring Session of the Canton Fair features flexible and diversified trading methods, primarily focused on export but also engaging in import activities, while facilitating various forms of economic and technological cooperation and exchanges. At the most recent edition, the fair covered a total area of 850,000 square meters, hosted 42,659 exhibiting enterprises, and attracted 692,013 visitors, including 192,013 overseas buyers, alongside related business services such as commodity inspection, insurance, transportation, advertising, and consulting.

The Spring Session of the Canton Fair draws buyers from around the globe to Guangzhou, fostering business connections and strengthening international friendships. During the event, numerous high‑profile forums are also held, including the International Market Forum, the Brand Meets the Future Forum, the Brand Marketing and Design Forum, and the Consumer‑Centric Technology Forum, among others.
