The Shandong Weifang Machine Tool Exhibition (CIEME) is co-organized by the China Machinery Industry Federation, the Shandong Provincial Association for Science and Technology in Mechanical Engineering, and the Weifang Chamber of Commerce of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. Grounded in Shandong’s Weifang region—where automotive manufacturing, internal‑combustion engine production and component supply, agricultural equipment, and construction machinery all enjoy leading positions—the exhibition attracts domestic and international companies showcasing the most comprehensive and cutting-edge products and technologies, thereby providing strong impetus for the transformation of old and new growth drivers and the upgrading of the industrial structure within the machinery manufacturing sector.

At the previous edition of the Shandong Weifang Machine Tool Exhibition (CIEME), the total exhibition area reached 60,000 square meters, with 800 exhibiting companies and approximately 70,000 visitors.In terms of exhibitors, well‑known equipment manufacturers and smart‑equipment firms, as well as an increasing number of out‑of‑province participants, have contributed to the event’s growing reputation. Regarding the product offerings, there was a notable rise in automated and intelligent solutions, fully reflecting trends toward flexibility, automation, and system integration, while underscoring the enhanced overall innovation capacity of the equipment‑manufacturing industry and highlighting the trajectory of smart manufacturing and the advent of the Made in China 2025 era.
