The Chinese Institute of Command and Control (CICC), established on September 16, 2012, is the only national-level academic society in China's command and control science and technology sector officially registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It is a national scientific and technological social organization, a formal group member of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), operates under the direct leadership of CAST, and holds the qualification to recommend candidates for the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. In 2018, it was rated as a 4A-level national social organization by the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

The CICC Conference is currently the premier annual event for scientific and technological professionals in China's command and control sector. It is a comprehensive national event integrating academic exchange, product exhibition, and thematic seminars.

Adhering to the mission of "gathering talents, promoting exchange, exploring frontiers, and fostering cross-disciplinary innovation," the conference implements national strategies for in-depth development.
