Art Basel Profile
Hong Kong Art Basel (Art Basel) has been dedicated to connecting top galleries and their patrons around the world since its establishment in 1970, while also serving as a platform for international art exchanges.
The exhibition is divided into six sections: 'Galleries', 'Features', 'Statements', 'Edition', 'Unlimited', and 'Parcours', presenting diverse artistic perspectives, historical materials, and pioneering works by renowned and emerging artists, providing audiences with new art experiences.
Hong Kong Art Basel (Art Basel) features over 240 leading galleries from 40 countries and regions. Among them, galleries from 40 countries and regions in Asia, Europe, North America, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa present high-quality works covering all categories of art.
Noah Horowitz, CEO of Art Basel, is committed to continuing to enhance and strengthen the Basel exhibition platform to ensure that the exhibition attracts mature and emerging audiences and artists in a more meaningful way. It's an exciting journey full of potential, and Horowitz is delighted to lead the organization in finding new ways to positively impact the communities it serves and reimagine the role of Art Basel in the art world.
With the largest number of international galleries in all of Asia, Central Hong Kong has become a well-known landmark for art spaces. As one of the largest cultural projects globally, the West Kowloon Cultural District includes Hong Kong's three major cultural landmarks: M+ Museum, the Hong Kong Palace Museum, and the Xiqu Centre, making Victoria Harbour a 'Bay of Art'.
Hong Kong Art Basel presents a rich array of activities and initiatives during the fair period, collaborating with galleries, artists, world-class institutions, and cultural partners.
